Sounded like there was less than 10 coaches there and didn't hear anything impressive about the camp. I thought we would here some positive input on their camp, but it seemed as though there was much left to be desired.

I actually talked to 15 coaches and there were at least another 5 more that I did not talk to. Most were hanging out up in the score booth sequestered from parents and others. Several Pac 12 schools were present. Cal, Stanford, Oregon St., Washington. Former UCLA coach Sue Enquist was there. I spoke with Derek on Sunday and he was pleased and had received positive feedback from the college coaches attending. They felt is was his best Nor Cal effort to date and Derek agreed.

I guess you wern't invited jar so your going to put a bad spin on this camp. It was well worth it and there were more than 10.

One correction for Too Old, it was the U of Oregon.......Go Ducks!!!

This camp was probably was the single most important softball event that my DD ever attended up to that date, it was her first time she was able to showcase herself with screaming ground balls by Mike Stith, take batting practice off a mens pro fast pitch guy who was so good they have gone to front toss now (which I think was awesome btw), being watched by 20 or so coachs, playing against top kids in her own age group, it was something I will never forget. Worth every penny, and I would beg, sratch, crawl, do whatever I needed to, to get back in if I had another kid coming up.
PLUS, its a stepping stone to bigger and better events OnDeck Holds, you bust your butt and have some success at the NorCal Event and you could be invited to Zoom into June Event, or better than that, spend two days at the National Camp and workout with 100 coachs watching, doesnt get much better than that.

Camp was okay. Like having Sue talk with the group great speaker. Did see some coaches out there most where up stairs. I seen Utah State, UC Santa Barbara really watching the players the others not so much. There was alot of catchers but few pitchers. I expected to see more done with pitchers and catchers there was no timing of throwdowns are pitchers speed. They did time running and bat speed. Still not sure if it was worth the $$$. But you have to check it out at least once.

we felt it was well worth it. The Allister's provided a great forum for the girls to showcase their skills to the college coaches in attendance. It was all there for them....its really up to the players to just perform to the best of their abilities.

For the pitchers they got the chance to pitch in game situations as well as in a skills demonstration. I don't think you can ask for anything more.
