This is a plea to As the World Turns and Dugout- channel your energies and deliver the true knock-out punch to Obama; deliver California and its electoral votes to Mitt. Make a difference!!! Your posts are always provocative, but lets now make it count. No california, no Obama!!!!

Let's make a grassroots(or turf) movement from the pages of HB to the fastpitch fields of California. Cast off those bonds of liberal California stereotypes and help the rest of the country.

We are all counting on you

Come on, what are you smoking? California is long gone. It is hard to believe that the first time I got the opportunity to vote, a Republican named Reagan won CA. Seems like a lifetime ago.

It was........

I know it was a pipe dream, but just imagine if you pulled it off!!

How does it breakdown in Cali????

In New York- NYC(except Staten Island),Albany & Buffalo are Dem.

All the rural counties are Republican

Nassau,Suffolk,Westchester,Rockland & Orange(NYC suburbs) are the battleground

In Ct (with it's Whopping 7 electoral votes) is similar-Stamford, bridgeport New Haven & Hartford Dem- everywhere else Rep. My town with its 110% Republican poulation and one of the largest Mormon pop outside of Utah is a gimmee. There are more independents then Democrats in my town

Texas-which was once true blue now seems to be a deeper shade of Red every election

Currently there are 17.2 million California voters—72.3% of eligible adults. Our surveys indicate that among those we consider most likely to vote, 44% are Democrats, 35% are Republicans, and 18% are independents.

Perhaps your opportunity? ;)

J/R, we love the enthusiasm...but the reality is that California is done. The state is over populated by folks that benefit from the big government vision of Obama, Pelosi etc. We (Californians) love to complain about the excessive taxes and regulations but continue to elect leaders that embrace that philosophy. Repubs are better off focusing our efforts on states like Virginia or Ohio where the percentage of right minded people are more in our favor.
