I agree ! We got Sam the Man on the left coast and our own G-Man on the right. Maybe someday I will get to get back to coaching.

Thanks for the shout out ... Tough gig ... Inner city school ... Like I was at for 2 years a couple years back ... Last year I was at a county school with a lot of parental support ... Great parents & great kids ... My JV'ers went 15 & 1 ... When we played the gals that I had coached previously I was greeted by a hord of running hugs ... It made me think that although I was able to lead a team to a better record, that maybe I had more of an impact on the previous yutes ... Not that these 2 parent household kids & I didn't click, we did ... But I just couldn't imagine that if I coached against them in future years that they would come running and hugging and spilling their guts ... Maybe they will, I just didn't see it happening ... This opportunity came up to take over a different city school team that hasn't won a district game in 10 years ... no feeder program ... Homeless people sh*ting in the dugout ... This school has a lot of support for sports, just not softball ... yet! ... They have a million miles to go and I'm getting my core established ... Some good kids ... Hard workers ... I'll pressure wash the dugouts again tomorrow ...
