Sorry, just don't like beer

Dont like it either, I love it. But I havent had one in 28 years. Sip my southern comfort now and then - in fact tonight seems like a southern comfort night.

Meister Brau ... We drank a river of it when we were starting out in biz and life ... I seem to remember you could get a case for the price of a sixer ... Tasted like sh*t

The story with Genesee Beer was that there were 10 or more colleges upstream and they just "recycled" the beer from the river after busy Friday and Sat nights at the schools

ironically- they are one of the major contract breweries for Sam Adams

When I was in high school, my dad would buy the generic brown label brand beer from Ralph's. I remember asking my Dad why he would buy that crap and he would tell us it was pretty good. Not until many years later did I figure out that he would buy it because he knew my brother and I would not touch it or take it to parties. Oh, the sacrifices parents make. He now buys the hi-brow brand beer and I ask him about the generic brand he used to drink, and he responds "That horse piss"

Looks like San Francisco. Schlitz was the first of three owners apparently:

1972 -Falstaff purchase the old Burgermeister brewery in San Francisco from bankrupt Meister Brau of Chicago. Before it was owned by Meister Brau, this was also a Schlitz brewery for seven years and had a history dating back to 1868 Falstaff also purchases the brands of the closed P.Ballantine of Newark,NJ for $4 million in cash, .50 per barrel for six years and $1.1 million over the next six years. Founded in 1840, Ballantine's sales were in a steady decline from a peak of 4.4 million in 1964, by the early 70s they were now only 2.2 million. This proves to be a major mistake for Falstaff, who are hoping to enter the NYC market. Losses over the next four years following the Ballantine purchase are $22 million.
