I will translate what FB said. Rachel Fox, the pitcher, is at a JC. She did leave Texas but because she enrolled to take a class in the fall at a JC she now has to get her Associated degree before she can transfer to a D1 school. The 4-2-4 transfer rule dictates this. She will more than likely end up at Texas A&M.

The coach is Kristie Fox, former SS at Arizona and assistant coach at Texas Tech and Murray St. She recruited a pitcher from the Colorado Stars organization.

Thanks for the translation. Hate to see a player leave, but I can't say that I blame her. Connie Clarks record is terrible against good teams excellent against bad teams. I hate to see her go to A&M, sort of insult to UT fans. I hope she does terrible. Dang Aggie

What will she be classified when (if) she gets to College Station?

I think she will be a junior. I don't believe the JC she is at has a softball team. So she won't be playing, that would leave her 2 years of eligibility under the 5 years to play 4 years rule.

I have often wondered how long UT is going to stick with Connie Clark. She has had some great players but just can't get it done. Recruiting should be a breeze. Is softball so far down the totem pole that the UT AD could care less?

Baffled in Tx.

I agree Taco. In general, women's athletics is at UT is mediocre at best. They pay their coaches high dollars with little or no return. Connie was at the right place at the right time. New program, new everything. Time for Connie to go away.

She doesn't have to follow my team (most kid are already committed anyway). Just glad someone from Texas has seen her on the recruiting trail.

For those talking about R Fox, start your own thread! But I hope she does well at A&M.

My apologies. My statement was not directed to you or anyone specifically. I was trying to generalize the point that just because we don't see them doesn't really mean anything. There is always a lot going on week to week in DFW. I can say one thing for sure. Since taking the helm, I have already seen the staff of UTA more than I ever did during the previous regime.

Hmm, someone forgot to tell that to all the head coaches that were there. Also, didn't see an assistant from UTA.
