Wishing everyone on in the East the best of luck weathering SANDY

I am here in Rhode Island- been working out of here the past few months. The house I am in is about 300yds from a Salt Pond and very close to the ocean- still waiting to find out if my office will be closed tomorrow. They just called a state of emergency here and are predicting a 6ft storm surge at high tide. Monday's full moon will not help. I will try to send some more images as it gets interesting

Well, as the tide comes up, just remember, hold on to the beer! Many river raft trips have proven that unopened beers don't float, but the empties do. Good luck riding out the storm!

They ordered a "mandatory" evacuation for this area- I am staying put (fire chief live next door and he is staying) Wind is picking up- lots of whitecaps on the water. No rain yet

Keg would have been a great idea!

School is already cancelled tomorrow & Tuesday. Casinos in Atlantic City are closed. NYC public schools are closed tomorrow.

D batteries (for flashlights) have been out-of-stock since Friday. Most stoes are cleaned out of bottled water and bread.

The grill and everything that can fly away are in the garage.

Not much fun for the next 36-48 hours.

Been raining off and on and gusting the same way here in South Central VA ... We should be well south of the badness ...
