ASA Rule Question

What's on your mind?

by whatever » Thu Nov 13, 2008 1:27 pm

DD just played in first ASA tourney w/her new team (18U). She is 14. When going dark March -May, can she play on other 14U/16U teams subbing in to stay sharp?

She can play 14U....good luck finding a 16U team during that period.

As long as it is not Championship Play, yes. If it is Championship Play, I would suggest you be very careful.

No such thing as Championship Play for that age group during that time frame. You can find a 10U NQ over Memorial Day some years, but thats about it.

Well, that's Championship Play. I thought I had heard from some of the SoCal folks that the were running some sort of early qualifiers. Maybe they were referring to something else.
