Who are the top 10U teams for 2012-13

by Sackett13 » Tue Apr 16, 2013 9:25 am

Blaze--Yes excited to see you guys down in our neck of the woods! Great facility just so all the rest of you coaches know....come on down!

Gators02--I have selectively removed Saturday from my working memory (went 1-3). All I can recall from the HSE Johnson game was looking at my outfielders' backs as they chased balls and my catcher's back as she chased passed balls. We were disappointed not to get a crack at you guys! Congrats on the win (again).

I was particularly proud of our bats (we don't face a lot of good pitching on a regular basis), and my pitcher, threw 545 pitches this weekend, had to lift her out of bed with a fork lift Monday morning. It was a fun weekend.

Sackett13 - Saturday sucked !!! It was awful ! We were in Georgia the weekend before last playing down there and it was beautiful - 70+ degrees and sunny. We all were sunburned but it was wonderful! haha! To have to get up Saturday morning to play in that cold and wet was difficult to say the least. I know a lot of teams struggled with it.

" ... had to lift her out of bed with a fork lift Monday morning " - WOW!
545 pitches is an incredible feat! Give her plenty of rest this week - she's earned it!

Looking forward to playing you as well!

Sackett, Gator coach is right, she needs a rest. I can think of one game in particular that will be the best for her to rest. HA HA.

I heard about the 10u pitcher taking one in the chest. Glad to hear she was ok. Tough girl to take one like that and keep on pitching.

HA. NO KIDDING. I am still regretting that. Only thing going through my mind is that this is the last year I will be faster than all of the girls. That and I hope there is an ambulence on stand-by somewhere.

If a pitcher has correct technique its the legs that go first. When the legs go, then you worry about strain on the arm. I promptly removed her from pitching when the legs quit working.

That may be true for an older pitcher, but she is playing 10U..... She is a kid and still growing.....

I actually feel sorry for her.

Can't make a kid do anything they don't want too. I'll try to remove the shock collar from around her neck.
