Who are the top 10U teams for 2012-13

by 02BlazeCoach » Fri May 03, 2013 7:32 am

Let's have some faith here, people! We have had SO MANY wonderful spring weekends up to this point why would we, for a single second, think that this weekend would be cold and wet?

Oh yah, we have yet to have a nice spring weekend. What was I thinking!?

Not sure what site ya'all use but intellicast.com makes it seem like we will be dry enough to play all weekend in Greenwood. Granted the forecast has changed a gazillion times up to this point.

Think positive thoughts and we'll see you all tomorrow morning. Good luck to the teams that ARE GOING TO PLAY tonight.

If a pitcher has correct technique its the legs that go first. When the legs go, then you worry about strain on the arm. I promptly removed her from pitching when the legs quit working.

That may be true for an older pitcher, but she is playing 10U..... She is a kid and still growing.....

I actually feel sorry for her.

I would stick to feeling sorry for the kids she strikes out and the teams she beats....

The teams SHE beats? Wow! I feel sorry for the girls on HER team.

Don't put that kind of bad karma on a 10 year old girl.

1st Leg Grand Slam at CGLL

14 teams. Tim and all the crew did an exceptional job trying to keep up with the weather conditions but the diamonds just couldn't take anymore and all was called off at the championship game.

1. Indiana Terror
2. Red Alert 02
3. Indy Explosion 02
4. Gators 03
5. Mafia Red
5. Brownsburg Shockers

Perhaps I mis-spoke. I guess the bad karma would be on terrordad and not the 10 year old girl. I don't think she is the one posting on heybucket. I'm sure the kids mother understands that a little humility will go a long way. Besides, at 10, there are always going to be those who mature, grow, and advance earlier than the others. Most likely the other 10s will catch up to her in a year or two. Besides, if she is all that, perhaps she should step up to the 40' mound and see what she really has.

I hope for that kid's sake, you find a couple more pitchers to share the load.
It might seem heroic right now, but you are setting her up for overuse injuries in the long run.

This post is getting kind of stale?? What's going on guys? I used to look forward to reading this on Mondays and during the week but now all I have to read is that 12u post about who's the best team - blah blah blah .... talk about stale  or about how we need to wait till our kids are in 14u and 16u and how stupid we 10u fans are because we get a little excited and emotional at times!

So...what's everyone thinking? We were in Shelbyville this weekend at the USFA Shelbyville Showdown and though the weather at times was muggy/hot or misting on us we had a pretty good weather weekend! Got all of our games in and saw some good ball.

I really have to give props to David Carter, the coaching staff and the 03 Gators! What an incredible season they're having for being an all 1st year team. With quality wins over some very good teams 2nd year teams the last 3 weekends as well as 2 tourney Championships and a 3rd place finish yesterday I can't help but get excited for this team and their future! I'm really impressed by their pitcher and their catcher! They make a great combo and now that their bats are coming alive and getting more consistent along with some nice defensive plays this team is going to have a lot of fun in the coming months!

Congrats to the Red Storm as well on a good weekend of ball in Shelbyville. They fought their way back to Championship game on Sunday and played a very good championship game! I thought their pitcher and catcher did a very nice job and was equally impressed by their 1st baseman. Saw her get some great hits in earlier games as well as our game. Quality team!

I saw the Edge 02 won in what I guess was a rain soaked weekend in Center Grove so congrats to them and the Hoosier Crush 02 (runner-ups).

What happened down in Bloomington this weekend? I believe they had a NSA tourney.
