This should be a barn burner in 14u (are softball games referred to as barn burners?) with Gators 99 the favorite to win. I am interested to see how well Magic Thunder does against them or should I say how well they do against Magic Thunder.

Besides those two teams the standard "playing late on Sunday crew" will be in NWI as well. Crown point 99, LaPorte Lazers Black, and Indiana Angels to name a few. It should be an interesting, entertaining weekend.

I know Magic Thunder, as expected, is doing very well so it will be interesting to see how the two stack up to each other.

Does anyone know anything about Team Oak Stars and Fire 98? I think they are from Illinois, as is Edge Chaos, but I don't know much about either.

Edge Chaos was very strong last year. I am assuming it is a very similar group of girls. I based the Gators prediction off madwhit's post looking for a pitcher. I'm not sure this tournament will be too "friendly". And being down a pitcher might not be a good thing.

Regardless of how it turns out, there will be several good games. Good luck to all.

Don't fret the pitcher that is injured has been so for a long time and it has not effected us too much. She is still an important part of this team and we miss her bat and defense . I just like to have my bases covered for future. Also she was not able to play at the friendly either. One last note we did not lose anyone to high school ball. I hope to continue to compete as we did in the fall and winter against 2nd year teams. Only time will tell and like I always say anyone can win on any given day.

Thanks for the update Madwhit. I just read the post for a pitcher and thought the same thing as Gold elite. I am really looking forward to watching your team play. I saw you a few times last year and was impressed. By the way, why are you Mad when you have such talented team?

fastec27 if Magic Thunder is down a few girls how will they compete? They only have nine on their NSA roster. I know Magic Gold is missing their high school girls which is why the team is Magic Thunder and playing NSA for the spring. Are these the girls you are referencing?

Turnandlook did you see the Shockers are no longer on the schedule. They must have dropped out.

I hope it does not get to cold because I plan to spend a nice relaxing day or two watching the games.

We play on a paper roster. It is composed of players from various teams that are not playing because their freshmen are missing. NSA came up with the paper roster to make it easier for teams to combine while the Freshman are playing High school ball. We have 4 Magic Gold players. One is out this weekend. One of the other players is also out on Saturday.

Edit: I had to register the players that were not on a NSA roster. If players are already on a roster you can add them to your paper roster. That is why you only see 9 registered with NSA. Glad this is the last year we have to deal with that.
