K-Rod To Mets. What Do Angels Fans Think?

What's on your mind?

by Nzane » Wed Dec 10, 2008 4:56 pm

I am a huge Angels fan. And, if you haven't heard, Frankie Rodriguez, aka, K-Rod, has signed with the Mets. I know we have a HUGE amount of Angels fans here. What do you think? Personally, it doesn't bother me one bit. Yes, he got the saves record, BUT, it was because the Angels, who had a great regular season, put him in that spot. Every time out, Frankie got himself into trouble. Walking hitters, or giving up hits. I'm pretty sure Scoscia and Owner Arte Moreno have a plan. And, he is a MAJOR choke, come Playoff time. So, what do you guys think?

And, a special note to any Mets fans here. There is a reason the Angels DIDN'T EVEN TRY to resign K-Rod.

he is good, but things are different these days, and it's all about the payroll...
and although the angels will miss him, i won't miss that "fingers pointing to the sky" routine he always did...
i heard he was honoring his mom doing that, but to me it looked like he was showing up the other team...
on the other hand, not sure if scott "can of gasoline on a fire" shields can do handle the closer's role...

I just hope my dodgers can keep manny. yeah, he's eccentric but he can hit!
and get some pitching...hope they don't get randy johnson either...
Deserve's got nothin' to do with it.

Well, I know the Angels are trying hard now to resign Texeira, since it looks like Sabathia will be going to New York. And, I'm not sure if it will be Shields or Arrendondo. And, who knows what the Angels have planned.

As for the Dodgers and Manny. With him, they will win the West going away, and have a legit chance at the World Series. Without him, .500 You guys NEED to sign him.

they will probably keep Shields in the 7th and 8th and use Arredondo in the 9th.

K rod, pointing to the sky didn't bother me. Manny high fiving the people in the stands mid play, now that bothers me. Or hitting the hr and not even moving and then watching it as bounces off the wall and doesn't even make it to 2nd base, that bothers me.

We need to re-sign Texeira!!!
It's better to keep your mouth shut and look like you're stupid......
than to open it and remove all doubt.

I totally agree, two seasons ago he was a humble player and now he thinks he is the best. Angels did the right decision.

I was in fear of a loss everytime K-Rod entered a game & will not miss him a bit, I hope the Angels keep Tex as he is a class act and a stud ballplayer. I love to watch Manny hit, But he makes me cringe everytime the ball is hit near him, He would be a "great" DH for the Angels.

I agree. Manny is one of the all time great hitters in baseball. But, I know of at least 4 or 5 14u girls that play outfield better, lol!

K-Rod don't let the door hit you on the way out. Thanks for the 7 years but you are not worth 13 mill a year! Over under on how long before the Mets regrets this signing, July.
