Recent visitor to heybucket and first time poster.
Props to all the 14u teams competing in qualifiers last weekend. there was some good competition.

Props to Breeze and Team CA for earning the births
Why was there note more older 14u teams competing in the 14 division?
It seems unusual for two first year teams to win it all.

Props to Team CA for having a pitcher that shuts down older teams. She was the best pitcher we seen this season. is that a pick up player?
Props to Joe Jaques for having his girls ready to play.

Nope, she is all ours. She also was 9 for 11 at the plate on Saturday and had an outstanding tournament. One of the most competitive kids I've seen. Team California would also like to congratulate Breeze 99. That is a very good softball team.

I am certainly not happy with our performance this weekend in SoCal but thought I would shed some light. We Won our 1st game Friday 9-3 against the SoCal Jynx. Next we played SoCal Wicked 98. The game was tight at 1-0 through 5 innings till my girls made multiple mistakes in one play and allowed 3 runs to score on a single. I feel we can beat that team! In our 3rd game we spotted the Diamonds (last years 12U Triple Crown winner) 5 runs in the top of the 1st, then scratched back into the game. It was tight at 5-3 for a few innings, then they went up 7-3 and we answered with another 2. The score was actually 7-5 although it did not get posted that way. We had numerous squandered scoring opportunities and I feel this game could have went either way. Sucked to go 1-2 but we could have easily been 3-1 or better and I feel it was better to:
a.) Play against the best (regardless of risk or outcome)
b.) face fresh competition!
c.) Attempt to qualify for the BIG SHOW
d.) benchmark our teams abilities against the best.
e.) we have girls that are aggressively campaigning colleges to come see them.
g.) Get the girls ready for life on the road.

Hope this helps and continued good luck to you and yours throughout the season!

I would give more props to Dirt Dogs, and less to AASA-Harrison in your rankings. AASA had 2 down weekends in a row at Surf City and PGF qualifier.

Dirt Dogs played tough in the PGF qualifier. Against FC-Brashear, Dirt Dogs were up 4-0 in the 5th inning when FC rallied behind a hit batter, a couple hits (one of which was almost caught on a dive by CF) and then a 3 run bomb to tie it up 4-4. A 2 out dropped fly ball when LF and CF collided gave FC a 5-4 lead and DD seemed deflated and unable to recover from that. DD played a very good game against one of the best that So Cal has to offer, so give them some love Nor Cal... :D

Coach Ed..I agree with you for sure, but DDoggs haven’t played any of the top Nor Cal teams in a while (Fall or Summer).... Top 5 team for sure & CONGRATS on your PGF Berth!!!!

Will need to play and beat the top Nor Cal teams to move up on Rankings, I would say.....6/21 Rankings will be updated!!!

This weekend friendly (Sunday) has the PGF power pool teams (FC, Sorcerer, D Dogs & Breeze98) getting at it....Interesting to see if they play friendly style or to win?

im with you game time on how are they going to play. Im gonna say that all four teams play to win. friendly I understand. but you know its more than that. I do believe these are the top 4. aasa I think would have been in this bracket if they would have done better down south. but im gonna make it out there cause this will be some good ball to watch.
