Oh how the Mighty have...is falling

by Lori » Thu Dec 11, 2008 6:13 pm

Well, it looks like the batbabybusters are downsizing...funny thing is, the strongest teams in the organization are the ones leaving!!

Sonny--pretty good team went to avengers
Clay--pretty good team went to texas trouble
Maclaskey--pretty good tema went to team tfs texas

Who is next...montoya?

That would pretty much knock all the competitive batbusters out of the organization. Guess they are looking to be the best damn 'B' organization out there!! lol

Knew this day was coming......hate to say i told ya so.

Now I see the 99 batbabybusters feller have jumped ship--another team that was decent in their age group.

any 'a' teams going to stay? and i mean 'a' teams that actually compete at their own level or above......16u is NOT competitive with true 16u teams..it is all 14u playing up.

What good BB teams are left? I am aware of Montoya and Rhine. From my outside in view, these two teams are solid well coached teams that aren't going anywhere but up. I am sure that their organization is fine. Keep up the good work guys. As for the younger teams.....It has been my experience that the 10u,12u and 14u teams have some of the most wacked out parents ever. Inner team fighting, squabbles and unrest seem to be rampant. The whole time the kids just want to play the game and have fun. The coach that can teach on the field athletes as well as deal with off the field parental wack jobs is a better man than I. I believe the best 16u,18u and collegiate (obviously) teams are coached by coaches not mommy and daddy. Why don't we do the same with 10u,12u and 14u? I think we all know the answer to that one. Daddyball. Look at middle school and high school sports, no mommy and daddy there and little sally and johnny are doing just fine in baseball, softball, basketball and football. Just my opinion, I could be horribly wrong.

You are more right than you are wrong!!

Although I have to disagree that rhines team is that good. i saw him get severely spanked by 'lesser' teams this year.......multiple times. it may just be a problem with consistency, but neverthless, consitency is a vital part of making a team good or great. He does not have it!

who knows what monyoya is doing..we will have to wait and see.

Sounds to me like you don't have a talented softball playing kid playing high school yet! Wait until spring then read the posts on the high school coaches. OMG! Its a different kind of daddyball, but it's the same stupidity, favoritism, and just flat out horrible coaching at the high school level. IMO, the level of high school coaching is about the same as 12u rec.

Right, well have to wait and see...

...all we know right now is that Lori and her DD weren't good enough to make one of the crappy BB teams she speaks so highly of. Cast aside by the mighty and great Ken Graves...I think they even threw a shoe (or two) at you didn't they?

Talking about throwing shoes.... I saw a funny headline pertaining to the latest Pres. Bush press conference in Iraq: SHOE-ICIDE ATTEMPT How funny is that?

Statements like that make me SOOO thankful for the HS Coach my DD plays for!!
When asked how many times she hit Tiger with the golf club, she responded, "I'm not sure...put me down for an 8!
