How much is too much?

What's on your mind?

Last year we started to ice my DD knees and shoulders on the way home after every tournament (Sat. and Sun). I got this advise from a sports doctor on one of my visits. As Stated earlier, the catchers throw a lot more then any other player on the field.

- pre game warm-ups
- warming up the pitcher
- between innings
- in the game
- sometimes warming up other pitchers during the game.
- between the 1st and 2nd game warming up the #2 pitcher.

Earlier in DD softball career (10U-14U), she was the only catcher. She caught ever game and was beat up a lot. This was my fault because I did not know any better. In 16U and 18U you never know who is at the tournament, so you have to stay sharp the whole time. A team needs two catchers. . . . 3 catchers is one to many.
