Looking For Advice On High School Softball

Sam, if you've never heard that phrase, then you clearly have only parented girl athletes . . . you think it's nutty at the softball field, then come on over to the boy's field.

Maybe you can enlighten all of us and tell us how that happens in boys sports....I'm fairly familiar with baseball and football, since I have close friends with boys on those teams....and I have friends who are varsity baseball and football coaches.

Just FYI ... when I speak of my DD's abusive Coach of the past ... she was not only abusive to my DD's ... although one in particular seemed to be a favorite target ... there were others on their team also ... and last year at another school she also had her favorite targets ... but, she also had her favorite student/atheletes ... ones that knew the secret handshake etc. ... ( no joke, there was a hand shake, LOL )

The boy's parents think their kids are going pro . . . the coaches think they can ride a player's coattails to a college job . . . the funny thing is; it actually happens often enough to perpetuate the hopes . . .

....and in the end....nobody will ever be able to save you from yourself....you will disregard the information that could have helped your DD....all for YOUR selfish little egos...I feel sorry for all of your daughters.

And in the end . . . after making some good points, you lose some of your "authority" with quotes like those above because your ego was hurt that everyone doesn't agree with you. You risk becoming a curmudgeon in 2009.
