Let me tell you a story...

Once upon a time, just a few years ago, there was a mighty giant called the U of SC. The Trojans they were called. They weren't the Magnums, but they had the Bushman, a Heisman or two and the teenager coach. There was a game scheduled in the City of Lights called the Rose Bowl...you know, the game of the BCS. Riding into town from the humble state of Texas, came the horns of the long one. The long ones fit into the Magnums just fine and were led by a Youngster who could run and throw. On fourth and six with time running out, the Youngster showed the micros of U of SC who was King. Soooooo....until they meet again, the Trojans can only wish they were of the Magnum kind.

....oh and... we love to watch our leftover Snead do well at the University of lower learning in Mississippi....ranked top 10 for sure in football...987th in academics.

hey joe,,,,,
That was one of the best games in BCS history. But every dog has thier day in history.... in fact, USC football has had 11 days involving winning a national championship, and texas has 4... so in the biggest picture, Texas is still a few, er, 7 football championships behind. Good game that SC/Tex game. The BCS really missed the boat this year as another great matchup but they can only do so much to make everyone happy and fund the sponsors who are getting thier arses handed to them in this economy..
The spirit, the will to win, and the will to excel are the things that endure.
These qualities are so much more important than the events that occur.

That Youngster ended up being a great pro....lost his job to 36 year old drunk with a 73 career passer rating who had thrown a total of 10 passes in the past two years.

Can't wait to see what the Real McCoy does....

Joe, dont be surprised if 'SC jumps Texas in the final Polls. And, it was Young's legs, NOT his arm that beat us that year.........

Ahhh, Okay? Young embarrased and exposed SC with his legs? I'm okay with that...

BTW, we'll see on the 'finals'...if you're not #1 - DON'T MATTER NONE!

And who got Arizona to the playoffs? That 38 year old that Lineart plays behind.

The post was aimed at people like Nzane, who are picking USC over an undefeated team and teams that their only loss was to a ranked opponent:

By the way, here is my Top 4

1.USC
2.Florida
3.Utah
4.Texas

Junky,

You must be new at this. You see, in sports its all about "what have you done for me lately". Until SC beats UT or wins a BCS, the greatest game of all time will always be fresh on our minds.
Until then, they can only look at the Magnum... with envy.
