What problems do the wackos have with this?

- Ocean environmentalists object to them sucking in marine life with the water and then discharging waste water.
- It is an energy intensive process, so environmentalists object to the use of carbon-based power.
- The usual local NIMBY opposition is magnified with it being on the coast.

Carlsbad has a desal plant under construction and the same company is trying to build another plant next to a power plant in Huntington Beach.

San Onofre would be a choice, pipe water to San Diego .
Huntington Beach where Santa Ana river dumps out,
L.A. harbor, and S.F. Bay Oakland side, would be other simple choices.
We could use the money that we will save from shipping off the wackos.

What about waste water reclamation? I keep hearing about how much water gets wasted
