Not to mention the '96 Sting just took first at BBUSA over the weekend, perhaps everything is not quite as certain as it seems.

Hey asmack, you seem kind of high on the peppers. Let me guess who you play for. I get kind of tired of hearing about the peppers and how they are #1. Did anyone besides me see them get beat at the end of the fall season by the woodlands thunder. Why is everyone so sure that this is a top three team for this season?

There is obviously only one person who thinks the Peppers are a top 3 team. I feel they will be competitive but have not proved anything. They got beat by many so-called lesser teams and won only 1 tournament that I know of and some of the top teams dropped out of that one.

Not to mention the '96 Sting just took first at BBUSA over the weekend, perhaps everything is not quite as certain as it seems.

Who actually played in that tournament? It is far to soon to tell who the top teams will be. Many are still looking for players.

Who did the sting take first place over? The so called competitive teams have not even started playing. Is the sting still looking for players?

According to eteamz announcement

1st 96 Sting
2nd Texas Crush
3rd Texas Rattlers

None of these teams will be top 5, or even top 10. There were only 5 or 6 teams playing.

Softball starts mid to late February. And who is winning at that time will not matter either, a really good team will be working on situations and developing their team and depth and chemistry. Just wait until May or June to talk about who is the best. It is pretty easy to figure out, the best will be playing in Illinois in late July.

If I was gambler, and betting on who would make it to Illinois, I would put money on Peppers, Bandits and Thunder in a second. I would hesitate to put money on anybody else at this time.
What you get by achieving your goals is not as important as what you become by achieving your goals.

wow!!!! sounds like some of you are toungue slapping your brain out trying to rank these teams before any games are played!!!!!

asmackdaddy. putting down ex teamates as well as other teams might just come back to bite you in the butt!!!!

Like houstonfastpitch said, what have the Peppers done that the other teams have not done?

I for one, am not sold on them (the peppers). Gonna be some good games played this spring. May the best teams make it to nationals and I hope they are from the south. good luck to all

So.......

How is the bloodletting going, boys?

I'm stunned by the amount of teams looking for players.....

Anybody finding any? Losing any? :o

The Sting coaching may have improved but what happens when he has to coach his gold team? Does he pass it on to another parent\coach and then they are back to where they were before.

On a side note, how many more new 12U teams will there be before the end of the month. Everyday some dad is trying to start a new team.
