I knew he couldn't build a 14u team from just tryouts.

LOL, you wouldn't be saying that if you knew how many kids were out there last weekend.

I'm not sure it matters. He'll run them off eventually.

I will say they are sending mixed messages though. They said only one team per age group, but yet they already have 3 teams in 14u. :?

Didn't the majority of the players from Elliott's 14U team move up to the Adkins 16U. If so the 14U team will either have to be built from tryouts or inticing another team to join the Adkins group.

As for sending mixed signals Adkins is planning on only having 1 teams per division on his side of Glory. I believe the other 14U teams you speak of fall under the old Glory regime.

I will agree with 3Bsnag, there was a large turnout for the tryouts now if they can just get them all join the teams.

Let's wait and see the quality of the kids who were there, we will see in the Allen-Spring Blast. I predict that the 2 top 95 Teams in the tournament will do well with them. I know exactly what I was saying about the tryout players, most are damaged goods from other teams that couldn't fit into a team environment.

I was not trying to ruffle any feathers, the vtd shows 3 texas glory adkins teams all list as 14u Fultz, Elliott, and chambers, all from different assoc.

Texas Glory Elliott has become Texas Glory (Adkins) 16-U. Mark Elliott has stepped down as a coach from the team. Jack Fulz is the new head coach, Steve Cantu is the assistant coach, along with Lewis Lisenby. Mark is focusing on getting his daughter ready to play at the next level over the next few months. Some of the players from the former Glory Elliott team will be on our 16-U team. Others will move down to our 14-U team. We had 64 players at our tryout on Saturday with more on Sunday that could not be there on Saturday. We have assembled a top team in both 14-U and 16-U and will now start to prepare for ASA Qualifiers and Nationals.

Texas Glory Gray 14-U has now become Texas Glory (Adkins) 14-U. New head coach and long time Glory coach will be Richard Simpson, assisted by Randy Gray, Scott Chambers and Jason Milligan. We have a plan in place for every single player that has made wither of these teams. I am thankful to all of the players and parents that came out and braved the conditions on Saturday.

Texas Glory Weddle has now become Texas Glory (Adkins) 18-U and once this team ages out, Kent Weddle and his staff will drop down to a yoounger age group and become non parent coaches.

Hopefully this clears up any confusion that you may have. There will be no duplicate teams within these age groups.
