Yes. She wears a hole in the toe of every pair of tennis shoes that she uses in the cages.
She used to wear through all her other cleats too.
These Under Armours are some pretty tough shoes.

Is she using the Laser II's with built in pitcher's toe?

I know what you mean. Sunday after indoor team practice, DD and I stopped by the hospital to visit my mom. DD took off shoes, and WHOA!! So much for the sterile environment!

My DD loves her Ringor Diamond Star Spike PTT. I bought DD the first pair last February when KHSAA allowed metal cleats in high school. The cleats lasted the entire year but they have become a little tight. Her 2nd pair came Friday from Ringor. Buy them at least a half size larger than your DD's normal size.

I think I know the answer but I am going to ask anyway. Does any travel organization allow metal cleats? All the organizations that we have played tournaments in have not allowed them (USSSA, NSA, USFA)?

LOL. DD shares a room with her older sister, who does not permit her to enter room until cleats and socks have been removed. Cleats usually spend the summer months on front stoop when not in use......and dear lawd, you don't want to be the one to find a pair of her socks in her equipment bag.

Had to buy DD the UA's in the fall when she left her Nike's at home and that's all the store had in her size. She love's them for pitching and they are holding up well, but she still prefers the Nikes when playing in the field. The UA is a bigger (not sure if heavier) shoe and DD thinks she's quicker in the Nike's. Whatever, now there's two pair of shoes to keep track of.

Just ordered the Diamond star ringors have used the playmakers for the last 2 years. They hold up alot longer than anything else we tried. The playmakers are a little heavy but my dd is no speed demon anyway, that being said we will try the diamond stars this year, the playmakers are still good, will use for practice. A good foot odor spray is a must for any bat bag glad to hear it's not just me. My dd dosen't seem to notice the dead animal smell on our way home after tourneys.

Sorry for hijacking the thread, but Art made me laugh again. DD left her cleats off in the back of my truck and left them there overnight. Next morning I had to drive to work in the rain with all my windows open.

Need opinions. Looking for new cleats for my 12 year old DD, who is a pitcher. She drags her toe, so on her Nike cleats, I have always put on a pitcher's toe. But, now we want to step up to a better cleat. Any opinions on the 3 listed in the title? These are the only brands I can find that have a pitcher's toe built in.

Oh yeah, she is a good hitter, but not a power hitter. So we need speed to get her to 1st, then the coach usually puts in a courtesy runner, so she doesn't get the chance to get hurt on a slide.

FYI we had the same issues with cleats and going through the toe. My DD's all star team last season got Mizuno Watleys super lite. She pitched the whole season and didn't have a scratch on the toe. She has had another pair since August and still no wearing at the toe. JMO
