Rolling Stones - Sticky Fingers

Some would choose Exiles On Main Street, but Sticky Fingers is my favorite. Not a bum track on the whole album. Any album that kicks off with a song as good as Brown Sugar has to be great. And then side two kicks off with Bitch - "Love.... it's a bitch." Every man sing along! Throw in Mississippi Fred McDowell's You Gotta Move, the jazzy second half of Can't You Hear Me Knocking, some of Jagger's best lyrics ever, Keef's chunka-chunka guitar, Bill and Charlie holding the bottom great as usual, and Mick Taylor's fluid lead guitar throughout - you have a masterpiece! "It's just that demon life that's got me in its sway."

4 or 5 pop into my head right away.....Styx, Paradise Theater, Foreigner, Foreigner, Depeche Mode, Some Great Reward.....but I keep coming back to what kept our (air) band together senior year in high school...Springsteen, Born to Run

Growing up, I would have to say Prince - Purple Rain, use to play that damn album backwards to hear the message in the rain. That album had a little bit of everything in regards to what each song had to say: Darling Nikki - kept looking for one of those throughout high school, Purple Rain - Friend that turns to lover, Let's Go Crazy - party, ...you get the point.

Now, I would have to say Bob Marley - Legend. Most of those songs still cover a lot of the same topics that we go through now. I never get tired of listening to it & now my kids are all into it, they think they are so cool, because after the movie Legend came out all their friends would play the few songs from the movie & they turned their friends onto the rest from that cd (no more albums) .

There are others, but I will stick to the criteria, but Led Zepplin 4, is hard not to put in here.

Legend is actually a posthumously released compilation album, lest I'm mistaken. Great album though.

As soon as I posted I had to check, because I initially thought it was, but saw Arto put it on his list, so thought that I would go with it. Lemming action. Felt like an idiot after I said I would stick to the criteria

I had Styx Paradise Theater too, but still trying to figure out if that is what I want to put. Was also leaning toward DP too. (By the way, can't wait till they come out in concert this year. Looks like I need to save money for the DP, U2, and No Doubt concerts!!!)

If I had to pick my favorite of all time, it would be Appetite for Destruction.

My roommate in college bought the CD when it first came out because he liked the art on it, a couple months (?) before they first starting showing Welcome to the Jungle on MTV.

Man...am I old, I was in college when they actually showed videos on MTV

hotwheels & ocdad, I am impressed. I didn't think I'd see any Prince fans on here. Prince's Purple Rain is an awesome choice. Definitely in the must have's of everyones collection. I too have to go with Prince, but my favorite album of all time is Sign O the Times. Double album, with some awesome party and baby making music on both cds. Oh yeah.
