You are so right with that stupid Broke Back Mountain. I should have put it on my list. Godfather is a great movie for one thing. If you are having a problem sleeping, put in the tape/DVD and presto. You are snoring away.

Others that outright sucked or very over rated:

Tango and Cash
Unforgiven
Slither
Snakes on a plane
Slum dog millionaire

Ok now your turn

Tango and cash great movie not on best list but certanly not on most overrated.. great humor and that truck freaking rocked

Unforgiven

Okay, I let Pulp Fiction and Fargo go, but you've got to be kidding here, right? Unforgiven is flawless.

Unforgiven was ok if it was filmed in 1970. When it was made it was already done to death. When watching it I kept thinking, "Ive seen this before". No surprises, nothing new, just the same old same old. The movie was fine, just filmed 25 years to late.

Pulp Fiction was just a terrible movie period. Don't even know were to start. Dialog, acting, writing or filming. Violence for violence sake doesn't impress me. I see it as a sign the director can't direct. Probably why I did'nt like Natural Born Killers.

Fargo. LOL do I even need to say anything. "Ya, Ya, Ya" or "You got that right". LOL. Just to stupid for me.
To each their own.

Tango and Cash-yeah, but those mullets!
Unforgiven disagree, and besides clint gets a "free one" from the hooker that got her face cut up
Slither - i liked its campiness
Snakes on a plane I am tired of thes mo-fo snakes on this mo-fo plane...ok, so maybe the video game wiz probably couldnt have landed that plane, but the bathroom mile-high club scene was funny
Slum dog millionaire i'm part of the 98% of the population that hasnt seen this or most of the oscar movies.
Deserve's got nothin' to do with it.

Did a search for a film review of Unforgiven, and here's an exerpt from the first one I came across:

Eastwood plays a weakened, once-violent but reformed gunfighter - and an aging pig farmer - in this serious, dark, film-noirish, violent tale of retribution that concludes with a climactic and bloody showdown. The themes of justice, law enforcement, the untamed West, corruption, revenge, honor, feminism and masculinity, mythic heroes vs. reality, the tainted gunfighter, and the central, brooding and complex message of the non-glamorous, painful nature of gunplay and violence are well-delineated.

The script was originally titled The William Munny Killings. The nominated original screenplay by David Webb Peoples is taut, revisionist and believable, radically redefining, and realistically debunking and demythologizing the grandeur and romanticism of the Western genre.

In short, Unforgiven is nothing like the westerns that went before it, other than that it was a western. Unforgiven is a revenge tale par excellence...it is THE revenge tale. And William Munny is the biggest bad-ass ever to grace the screen.

And unlike the man with no-name, who was essentially a mythical character, Munny's character is entirely believable. Unforgiven isn't a shoot 'em up western like all the rest, with white hats and black hats. The characters are immensely complex, with no clear delineation between "good" characters and "evil" characters--because there's good and bad in each of them. And for almost 2 hours you are only given hints about what Munny is capable of...so when he finally goes full bad-ass it's enough to give you goose bumps. Which it still does to this day, and I've seen the movie in excess of 100 times.

Pulp Fiction...they teach graduate level philosophy classes on the movie, so if it's just violence for violence' sake somebody should probably let those idiots know that.

Fargo...great acting, great cinematography, great character development of very interesting (if quirky) characters, great suspense and delicious discomfort (via William H. Macy's character). Too stupid? With respect to a Coen brothers' film, that's definitely a first.
There is no charge for awesomeness
...or attractiveness.

The fact that it had to do with baseball was the only redeeming factor. The acting was horible, especially the wife. She got on my last nerve.
