why does it sting (her hands)

My 13dd seems to sting her hands more times than not while hitting. Doesnt matter what bat she uses (Stealth 08, stealth clarity, rockettech). what could be the cause of this? She is even stinging her hands when hitting softies

Most of the time that is due to not hitting off the sweet spot. Sounds like she is either hitting off the very end or right where the barrel meets the handle.

If it happens more so on a particular bat (which doesn't sound like the case here), her end cap may be loose.

She gripping the bat properly?

Lotsa kids have a tendency to tense up and squeeze hard.

Take some video of her and slow it down and take a look. With the bats you mentioned, I am still thinking about "sweet spot". By the way, that is an awful feeling. It is like an electrical shock.

I suspect that stinging hands can be caused by the bat decelerating as you contact the ball.
My kid used to get the stinging so bad, she would practically hop up and down in between
swings in the batting cages. At 12 when we switched her from linear to rotational mechanics,
we noticed that the hand stinging disappeared (took a few trips to the cages before it occured
to either of us).

The stinging never returned.

Check her grip 1st. She maybe choking the bat. That bat should be rolled in the fingers and should not be pressed into the palm. Is it her fingers, hands, or her wrist that hurt? That will determine what is causing the sting.

Where in the country are you ?... this was all good advice but if you are in the North East and she is not wearing batting gloves and it is 40 degrees out ... guess what ... stinging hands ...
