So, why do you read it ? I guess I sort of understand because I always thought it was strange when you read a 'letter to the Editor' in a magazine that sez something like " I have been a faithful subscriber since 1984, but after your article on blaa blaa blaa, cancel my subscribtion" ... so, you can't and shouldn't always agree with everything you read or your critical thinking would be non-existent ... But, I don't Wilkepedia ...

Wikipedia has a lot of great information on just about everything. It's a go-to site for me...whenever I google something the first link I'll usually click on is Wikipedia.

And typically wehn something is disputed on Wikipedia, the article notes that fact and gives at least cursory details about the other take on things, so the reader is aware of the issue and can investigate further if desired. This Obama thing is very disturbing though.

well, like Skarp, I use Wiki occasionally, but I didn't go there to read about Obama, I read the article that I linked, which was about the Obama entry on Wikipedia.

I agreed that Wikipedia is a good source of factual information. I also agree that opinion has no place on Wikipedia, but after reading what you pulled from the article I'd have to say that it was factual.

The part where any reference to Obama being associated with Ayers gets immediatley deleted, or where stuff like this about Bush stays?
