no i am not applying for a job, i just get tired of all the excuses of why one team did not win it all or get to the finals, injuries, just formed the team, bad weekend etc. good teams consistently get it done.

It is good to see we will have a competitive summer of softball in the Houston and surrounding area and I believe it is clear there will be several teams in the area that will give each other tuff match ups. I believe it will take till the end of the summer to determine who will be the best and I'm sure we all will still have different opinions at that point. I still am excited to watch the good match ups and the top teams get after each other on the weekends. Soon everyone will have no excuses and will just have to play ball and I'm sure we will have different outcomes on any given weekend. Just remember they are 10 & 11 and even the top girls and teams out there make eras and have bad weekends. We will see which coach's can get there team to play consistent through out the summer that is the tuff part.
Since we have so many knowledgeable bucket heads on this thread what match ups were the best to watch at the Bomber? I heard Kaos lost there last game to Austin's Finest on a squeeze play. I also herd it was tried by the Sting and they got a bad call at the plate in ITB. I know I missed those tight one's. Anyone see either of those games ? 8-)

Hammer - I saw the sting play you are talking about, bottom of the second ITB. It was a bang bang force at home. The girl was safe but it was real close. Ump said ball game and hurried off the field. Good game, but I think sting at 100% there would not have been ITB.

I herd it was a tuff call to end the game on. I also herd the Sting was limping in to this tournament, but you know how parents are.

Yo Texas!

What teams are planning on coming to 10U ASA Nationals this year? Like Southern California you have a ton of great talent and I'd like to see as many teams as possible represent your fine state. I heard some of your teams are going to USFA Nationals, SAVE YOUR MONEY FOR ASA NATIONALS. No need to go after a national title that nobody cares about and doesn't mean anything because the best teams in the nation won't be there.

Regards,

SoCal

Hey, closer I think the reason USFA finals are so popular most families are trying to have a vacation along with the softball at least at the 10U level. Florida is a bit more of a vacation spot. I know ya'll are use to the beach & surf but we don't have the great beaches on the Texas coast like ya'll have in Southern California. 8-)
