I feel like an astronaut right now. I have spent the last year discussing dog fighting, neck tattoos, cornhole, trailer parks, specifically on the NorCal page but its time to cross the grapevine and play with the "experts".
Powersurge was the best Socal team, you can argue all you want about your batbuster, firecracker, and socal As teams but Powersurge owned Socal (when it mattered) for the last month winning TCS and finishing second at PGF.
Ohana Urbina, Suncats, and USA Athletics Davis all had good runs but it looks like San Diego is starting to take over the South with Powersurge and Breakers both making Saturday. To the north I5 looked strong. The valley will soon be known for more than Porno flicks and Methamphetamines.
Whats up with Orange County? You were once the center of the softball universe, at PGF you get to sleep in your own beds, eat home cooked meals. Now you will watch all your kids change uniforms and repeat the process in two years.
Up North the Nuggets had a nice run being taken for granted by USA Athletics, and Socal As Terrones. I5 gave them a good fight and lost, but the Nuggets couldnt figure out Powersurge or Birmingham T-bolts (their only 2 losses). They also ran over Ga Impact and Carolina Cardinals. This Nugget team is special because their 10s, & 14s,were not at PGF long enough to get sunburned.
Grapettes from NorCal also made a nice run at PGF Premier. Most Grapette teams come from the valley where people eat Norcos like chicklets and have to change the tires on their primary residence. Their air is dirtier than yours and the weather is like Las Vegas.
The PGF Premier Grapettes team comes from the mean streets of Marin County. Home to rich hippies, lawyers, and spoiled kids. I like to call them Mooses Millionaires after their quiet and unassuming coach. Somehow this dude was able to assemble a group of trust fund kids and win.
This BS about the Birmingham Tbolts being a ringer team is absurd. I know of many Socal teams that have out of area players and Birmingham AL is a two to three hour drive to Atlanta GA, Nashville TN, Jackson MS, and Northern FL. That excuse is lame. A two to three hour drive in Socal is about eight blocks. They have talent because they run a good program and housing is affordable so there are lots of kids to choose from.
I hear the same BS in NorCal about how people recruit kids and its not fair. I never hear winners complaining, just whiners. Time to get back to work.

Later Socal, its been fun
