I work for Coca Cola and we are Union. There is a section in the contract on overtime. I was hoping someone could clarify a couple of things for me about it. If you can, please PM me. Thanks, in advance......

Don't worry your safe here in California......thanks to Obama you'll get everything you ask for even thou this great state is sinking. You guys at the union are a protected species. Who cares about the millions in this country who are sacrificing there incomes, benefits, ect and yet the union is untouchable. My hats off to this Mafia runned county and our great God father obama.

If I was a union member and looking for outside help on a contract question, I would wonder what in the hell am I paying the union for. Maybe you should find out before your union president heads off to his vacation house in the Hamptons at your expense.

Additional thought: Of course rereading the post you might be management in which case I would ask what in the hell your corporate labor lawyer is doing and what does the corporation pay him for? Better ask him what to do before he heads off to his house in the Hamptons (next door to the union presidents house).

The answer to your question is " Yes you have to & no they don't have to" or visa versa ...

Well, there's some plain english wording on senority and overtime that our Union Rep is letting Coke do by "interpretation". So, instead of getting blasted, I was looking for someone that could maybe help. But, that's for the snide remarks. Helped out immensly.

What kind of response? It's actually a simple question I have on about 2 paragraphs. I figured the way people are helpful here, I could get a response. My fault, lol!

:? Otay Buckwheat ... ... the 1st problem is the title of your thread which in itself is oxymoronic ... then you posted it in "The Pub" ... some of the most helpful advice I ever received in a pub was " Lets have another one, you can call into work sick with a broken leg " and " why don't ya dip your french fries into your bleeding knee " ... ( and both of those tips were on the same night and once followed sent me straight down the path from whence I am )maybe you should try it under " Tips & Drills " or " Feedback & Suggestions " ... anyway ... Isn't Skarp a suit ? :o ... Haven't seen him post recently... maybe he could answer you're query ... but it's just as likely he'll hammer ya too

I've got an engine that needs to be rebuilt. Any mechanics here that can come over and do that for me (for free, of course)?

Hey, at least the mechanic doesn't jeopardize his professional license (and thus career) if his "help" goes awry.

Contrary to popular belief, not every lawyer knows everything about every area of law. Not even close. Even specialists in specific fields must research issues daily to ensure that the answers they provide are correct. To not do so constitutes malpractice. So understand that friendly little request for help from your lawyer friend for precisely what it is--a major imposition.

LMAO ! ... I know the feeling ... ... A couple years back a customer called me on her cell phone from a competitors store ... pissed off that she couldn't get " anyone to help me here" ... started asking me questions about which item she should buy there ( knowing the whole time that we sold those items ) ... well, I didn't jeopardize my license but I did blow a gasket
