I don't understand why soooo many posters on here can't just admit the Diamonds are good, and deserved their hard fought win(s). QOD seems to be the only poster that can admit that. Between REALLY and DENVER Dog, you'd think the Diamonds just seemed to get lucky at the HOF qualifier. Looked like they played hard to me, at least against our team. They won, you didn't. Get over it already.
Back it up Knot, Diamonds are one of the top 3 teams in the state they proved that this weekend if not the best as far as consistensty goes. Any team that plays up in 14U almost strictly to better themselves deserves the credit for their ability. I never doubted that, my contention revolves around the fact that Houston produces more (as in quantity) competitive teams in general thus demonstrating a larger pool of talented players, better coaching etc.... Keep in mind they are 10-13 yrs old, anyone that undermines what those children do and what they have achieved is probably from Dallas
Don't take it so personal this is just good old fashion UT vs ATM, DFW vs. Htown, Cowboys Vs Texan's fun any team and any young lady, coach or organization representing this state has my support 100%. So Cal on the other hand better look out
By the way go back I picked Redhots/Diamonds in the final and gave it to the redhots becasue they are more then anyone expected. If you want to really talk about the best team in texas think about a 1st yr 97' 12u team running those 96's around this weekend. The torch will be passed in 2010 and then Houston will have it all, majority and the best team in the state.
