Ummm...wrong. Obama calling out this guy is decidedly presidential...shows leadership rather than pandering to his political base. It's not the insignificant event that is at issue, but rather the larger issue of young black male thuggery...and Obama taking a stand against it is to be admired.

Now if only his remark was actually intended to be on the record...

Take a rest DD. Don't fall into the trap of knee-jerk criticism/support like the libs invariably do. We're all on here talking about what a jackass Kanye West is, and then when Obama says it you want to hammer him on it? Obama got this one right. If you want any credibility, just admit that.

Same goes the other way, when talking about Bush et al. He was a mediocre president at best...just not for any of the reasons the libs cite. If you are unwilling to criticize where criticism is due, then you are no better than the sycophantic drones on the left. Always begin with core principles, reason from those principles in particular situations, and let reason, not ideology or party affiliation, take you to the correct result.
