USFA 10U B, Coach of the Roughriders told me they lost to Bay City Bombers (4th)place and Spring Sting (7th). So they may have finished 49th but look who they lost to. Two 98 teams abd Bay City had to a rally in the last inning to comeback.
Just my view.

Good point redrocker. And besides, I can't help that there are a couple of teams out there that cry about the level of ball that thay are playing or playing against. All I know is you waisted a lot of time and space to not really prove anything other than the N. Texas and Houston area have some talented softball teams.

So just stop running around acting like your sh_t don't stink!! ;)

I am sure only time will tell, and even in the event that a N.Texas team does have success, you sound like someone that will just come up with an excuse.

Wow.. all the kind words regarding my team the RoughRiders. I heard about all these post so I wanted to log on and look for myself. Yes it is true.. we did not show well in PCB but I believe a lot of factors played into it, just like any other tournament could I guess. We were also the lowest seeded team in the tournament so we got to play the better competition. No excuses we got beat by some decent teams.

SlapLeather.. I believe the Rampage coaches and you probably have my email address, so if you guys do get some sort of tournament scheduled between north and south please include us.

The RoughRiders will play any 10U team, any time, any day, win or lose.

Bring your game because we will bring ours.

Thanks,
John Fellers

See Slap Leather that's how you handle your buisness... Roughrider's have a great team we played them last year they're well coached , respectful and great sports... They should do well in nationals this year.

Well Really, being honest, I normally have John's approach. I guess you could say wrong place wrong time, bad day, but because I personally take offense when people come from nowhere calling out the N. Texas teams, when I know that there are a handful of teams that bust there butt's to be able to compete at a national level, I felt the need to defend N. Texas just like you are wanting to defend Houston teams.

I couldn't agree more that at the end of the day we are Texas, I can't wait to see the day that TEXAS will be able to consistantly compete with the top clubs in Cali and across the country for the matter.

Unfortunately, the only thing standing in the way of that is some parents that all want there daughters to be the starting pitchers and or shortstops, and DO NOT want them playing outfield. I look forward to making a road trip to play the likes of the Phantom, Cobra's etc., hopefully this fall.

I think everyone would do well to remember that they are 10 or 11 years old. It really does not matter much what they can do now individually or as a team when they all are so diverse in their development. The job that the coaches are doing and the true ability of the players will be much more evident in all of them 4-6 years down the road when they are finished growing for the most part and have to use their knowledge of the game and their past coaching, as well as their God-given ability to be successful. Some never get any bigger or any better than when they were 10, while others continue to progress both in stature and ability, and yet others choose their fun off of the softball field. Unfortunately the parents and many of the others around the game NEVER grow up, but digress back into their childhood. A billion people in China could care less who the best 10U team is anywhere in the US. When a simple question/poll becomes a place where the unintelligent and unreasonable feel that their voice is the only voice that should be heard, and when the honest opinions of those who simply try to answer the question/poll based on what they have seen with their own eyes are bashed and ridiculed by those unintelligent and unreasonable idiots, then this forum loses its validity as a place for someone with any integrity to reside. Thanks, John, for defending your very good team, and good luck this season. I choose to no longer be a part of a club who uses masked 4-letter words discussing 10U softball. No visual included, but you are sick puppies!
