Stars over Texas 14u

by GO REBS » Sat Sep 19, 2009 1:25 pm

This should be a very good test for the early fall season. Should also give some insight as to who will compete at the RM tourny in November.

Sure...Except that some of the '95 teams are playing in the 18u showcase instead of playing in the 14u. The RM supposedly forces everyone to play in the age group they will be playing in the upcoming Spring.
My daughter is perfect, she knows everything. Just ask her.

Yea i saw Kaos 95 and TPS 95 are playing up in the college exposure tournament. I guess everyone will have to wait until November to beat the best!!! ;) ;)

12U teams are watering down the 14U Future Stars Over Texas. They need to play in their own age division.

What 12U teams do you feel are watering down the tournament? Has your Team ever played up? Just curious...

Ice, Rattlers, Red Hots, High Voltage. None of them belong in 14u and its keeping legit 14u teams from participating now that 14s are full.

If all these teams played 12s like they should then 12U would be a good bracket and we could all see whose who in 12U.

I think these teams are just hoping they don't have to play each other so they don't have to see whose who. Its okay if your 12u teams getting beat by 14u teams, but you can't let these moms and dads down by losing a 12u game.
What you get by achieving your goals is not as important as what you become by achieving your goals.

For your information...the Texas Ice and Texas Red Hots both played 12s this weekend. Didn't seem like anyone was worried about winning and loosing....just wanting to get some good work in for their teams.

Asmack & Zig - Sounds like your worried you might get beat by some '97s or maybe your team already has been beat by a '97....hhmmm? In any case there are plenty of the top '96 teams in the tournament as well. What was the answer to Merlin's question "Did your team ever play up?"......and the answer is........

Mark:

In the Baytown 14U Saturday, the Texas Red Hots tied the first game against Texas Stampede and won the rest of the RR games. The two teams with the best records met in a final game won by the Texas Red Hots.

The Red Hots also played in the Baytown 12U on Sunday. I am assuming they won all the games...all I can speak for is the game against the Texas Ice. Our record in the RR was as follows:

Ice 97 over Sudden Impact 97
Texas Red Hots Over Ice 97
Ice 97 over TPS 97
Ice 97 over Texas Heat 97
Ice 97 over Texas Thunder 97

The Ice 97 vs. Texas Red Hots was tied 0-0 until the last inning.
