Dear Joe and Momof23:
My name is Marilu Rosales and I am Tony Rosales' wife, the head coach for the Shadows 98! I am coming on here to clarify a few things, that for some reason have become personal when being dragged in to your conversations on this public forum.
Momof23, whoever you are...we are in hopes that you are truly not one of our parents in our team. It would be a shame and disappointment to find out that you are one because we definitely do not condone your behavior on this site. The puzzling thing about you Momof23, is that you are certainly caught up with the 10U teams out there when in fact the Shadows 98 is no longer one of them. You were very aware of the happenings during the Southlake tournament this past weekend when we were playing miles away in the Mesquite tournament. What is your purpose? What is your message? When you logged on here and decided to complain about the results of bracket times and such, have you not been around softball long enough? That is just the way it plays out sometimes, and there is nothing that can be done. The tournament directors try their best to keep it fair and safe for everyone out there playing, but that is the way it goes. Shame on you for coming on here and bashing someone right after they have apologized and tried to mend what happened. What was your purpose again? On another note, if you are not affiliated with our team (which I hope you are not) then why didn't you come back on here and tried to clarify things? Instead, you cowardly hid away and decided not to continue with your potty mouth. Shame on you for allowing Joe to drag our team on here, and for allowing Joe to drag Tony into this. If you are going to have the decency to come on here and talk smack, then have the same decency to come on here and clarify when a team is being thrown under the bus (that was never involved to begin with).
Joe, whoever you are... we are just as confused about Momof23 as we are about your purpose in bringing us into this discussion. We are here to play softball, to create a love for the game for our 12 young ladies. I am sorry if you have negative feelings towards our team and for that matter towards my husband. I have tried to read back and find out who this Momof23 is. It is very confusing, because once again she is completely caught up in the 10U teams. Not only that but she talks about Grapevine like you said, and then turns around on another posting and talks about being in Oklahoma that weekend. I am not quite sure how you came to the certainty that she is a Shadows mom, I can see where some of her postings would make you think that way, but it is still not 100% guaranteed.
In regards to Southlake, we had a wonderful experience playing and practicing out of the Southlake fields. Mr. Tuggey runs an excellent facility, and it has been our privilege for sure. We definitely look forward to playing there again, as the tournaments at the facility are always well run and fun to play in.
Both Joe and Momof23, you know who I am! I have come on here because I am concerned with the safety of one of our players and their parents for that matter. While you both were caught up in your discussion, you have called out our #23, which in fact we do have. The safety of our girls comes first, and I am not ok with you both jeopardizing that. As far as attacking Tony on here, he is a big boy and can handle it, we are not worried about that. Why he was brought in to this discussion to begin with is still puzzling, but he was and what is done is done.
If you have anything further to say, whether it be on here or on the fields, I would like to remind you that children are involved in this sport. It is not about the adults or the coaches for that matter, it is about the girls that are out there working hard to play a game that they love. Once again, you know who I am and I have no desire to hide my identity. Both Joe and Momof23 you can look us up on VTD and see where we will be the next couple of months, I am here if you want to discuss anything further.
