Over the weekend I observed something that bothered me. I was in Grapevine pulling duties for my younger boys baseball game during games we both went over to check the fastpitch tourney next door (really we went to get better concession food
) so we bought some food sat down to watch Showtime 96 vs D-BAT (Saldivar). As the game was winding down score was 5-0 Showtime I noticed the all to familiar (stall tatics) with 2 minutes left by a Showtime Player to avoid another inning. As this was going on I notice coaches from D-BAT getting angry after that me and my son heard the coach tell her pitcher "To take the other players head off" I was jawdropped by this then I heard (What look to be the pitchers mother say "GIVE IT ALL YOU GOT!!!) as this was said the poor girl started to cry and give the "NO" nod to the coach. So as the batter came up with a minute left the first pitch came buzzing the tower. The 1st base coach for Showtime noticed this and called timeout ending the game.As they were walking back same parent started to yell "CHICKEN" to both of them. Here is the kicker DBAT refused to come out and give the handshake of sportsmanship as all this was going on the "TD" was sitting behind DBAT and caught all of this (I think he was from a team called Xtreme) real nice guy we talked to him after the game and was gonna have a talk with the head coach. Now grant I have been out of the loop for a while my daughter played in the early to mid 90's but is this now the norm in the softball community. I know being in Baseball with my son and knowing Cade Griffis first hand he would never approve of this I know the TD was going to contact DBAT about this but this would never happen in the DBAT "BASEBALL" side.Sorry for the long read guys
