Who do you like for TOP 10 Houston area 14U teams in Spring?

by nsidethelines » Wed Nov 04, 2009 10:59 am

Am I the only one that believes that the true top teams this fall will just get stronger in the Spring? Will there really be that many unhappy parents that jump ship after the RM and KCC? I don't think so. The strong should get stronger. The RM should help thin out the herd and tell us all who is in fact the cream of the crop.

I have to wonder what will come of the mixed 95/96 teams when HS ball starts up. How do you develop and strengthen a group of players when a bunch of 'em are being schooled by their HS coach (that may actually be the football coach, but "since you're free in the early spring, why don't you do something with these girls?") :o

As for the Question of this post I have only had the privilege to see only a few teams from up this way. So i don't want to even guess yet.

Did you watch the Sudden Impact beat the TPS 95 last weekend?

I did watch it. Did you? TPS was not trying to win the game and had kids playing all over the place every inning treating you guys like a 12U team. Sudden Impact will not have to worry about getting by TPS at RM because they will be beat by the 96 Bombers in their first game and the 95 Bombers in their second game and then be home in time to have a nice dinner and watch some TV and get a good night sleep before a long day of nothing to do on Sunday!
What you get by achieving your goals is not as important as what you become by achieving your goals.

Yes, but the one that used to be the peepers is the one they are refering to. They should be out early.

Pick up a lot of help with pitching. Will stay in the hunt as long as the pick ups pitch.

I have an unconfirmed report that there were Sudden Impact '96 parents spotted at the concession stand on Sunday evening. We were finished Saturday so I must reiterate this is an unconfirmed report.

Ahhh yes yes, I did see the Sudden Impact GOLD parents at the concession stand wearing their Sudden Impact GOLD attire. I know there is a rule against GOLD players playing down in 18A but I am not sure if that applies to them playing down in 14's or not.
