Idiotic? Can you show me what the local associations actually use for thier criteria? I'd really like to see what is checked in the ASA ACE background check as well.

Other than the noted obvious;

A coach that text their players daily... not a good moral habit!

The only idiot in the room is the one naming himself "mafia"...

...and your profile? Ha! ...take that "block" you speak of and shove it sideways.

DUI from 20 years ago shouldn't disqualify a coach, nor should that doobie you smoked in the dorm room in 1979.

Any and all criminal offense that would keep a person from working with children. I would not expect my DD teachers to be a felon and or drug user/seller and then attempt to teach her something about ethics, hard work and success. It does not work that way in real life. You can not teach something you yourself have not done.

The criminal background of a person goes to show what their secret character is all about when it's at is worst.

How are you gonna find a coach in Texas thats clear of all these things?

Pssst! Look a little deeper bung hole...

There are many government levels of security clearance, and quite a few allow misdemeanor convictions. Just ask a GI who's covering your sorry a$$ overseas.

As for coaching your DD? Ahhh, hmmm...I won't go there.
