Top 10U teams this yr

by SlapLeather » Tue Nov 17, 2009 11:41 am

The father unfortunately! It sounds like ya'll are doing fairly well this Fall, so congrats on the recent success. There will always be those little kinks in the armor that us as cooches will always being be working hard to fix.

We will defenitely be making a road trip or 2 H-town way next year, as I hope your team and a few others will be able to do the same coming to NTX. I think some really good tourney's could be held to help all the girls get some great experience. Good luck to you guys as well Mark!

I think it would be great if there was an invitational tournament that involved the top 10 and under teams from surrounding states. The thing I have learned by playing local tourneys with the same teams every weekend is that you become use to the teams and anyone can win, depends on if the girls are on that weekend. If there is an invitational tourney in Texas, I hope it is planned soon enough to allow placement in Spring schedule. We are from OK and love playing competitively. Will travel for softball......

The Texas Bombers will be hosting 2 different tournaments this year that should both be very good. One is Bomber Shootout and is set for March 20-21 in New Braunfels Texas. This usually draws some of the best competition in the state and from Oklahoma. It is already posted on VTD. The Bombers do not play in it though and the 10U team is certainly one of the better ones in the state. There will also be a tournament hosted by the 99 Bombers and it is scheduled for Memorial weekend so that the girls can spend 2 days playing softball and another on the river. That tournament has run the past 3 years and is normally only one age group. Last year it was 10U only and most of the better 99 teams in Houston were at it. Keep an eye out for those two if you are really interested in some 10U travel tournaments. Plus, New Braunfels is a great place to vacation. :!: :D

First, I am with OK Force 99 and am pretty sure that we are good enough for your tournament. Second, need more than a three week notice to have a tourn. which required several hours of travel. I hope someone has one in the next few months that we can all plan on going to. Thanks.

Unfortunately, most of those teams are already playing that weekend. No way to make those kinds of travel plans in 3 weeks. On another note, the Austin's Finest no longer exists. Those players have split onto the Austin Stars, Blaze, Bombers and a couple of other teams around. Probably should have an "out of state" division for the two LA teams as well as the OK Force (who does belong in this group) + 1. Other teams that need to be added to Centex/rest of TX would be Blaze, Sneaky Cleats and Anderson Express. One more in the out of state would give you 16 total teams and that would make for the right mix. Once again, we would be happy to help host. Huber Ranch has some of the best fields around (legal size as well) and I bet would love to host this kind of a killer event. Could call it the invitational Border Brawl or something similar and maybe we could all agree to donate the fee to a good cause - CASA, American Cancer Society, St Jude's, etc! Anyone seriously interested can contact me. Be happy to organize even if it happens in a different location. One of our parents had tried to get some teams together for a round robin previously. This would be more fun.

So the breakup

Houston -
1. Cobras 99
2. Phantomz 99
3. Crossfire 99
4. Kingwood Edge 99

Dallas -
1. Glory 99
2. Kruzers 99
3. Team Mizuno 99 (NT Rampage)
4. DBAT 99

Centex -
1. Bombers 99
2. Blaze 99
3. Anderson Express 99
4. Sneaky Cleats 99

Out of State -
1. Flame Throwers
2. Cenla Heat
3. OK Force
4. ????????????

now this is funny chit... this will never happen so keep the thread going...
plus y should these teams play each other and then play a non local team..
split the teams up where each team is playing a different team from another state/part of texas
and then let there be all #1 and then let them teams fight it out at the end...

SEE WHICH STATE/PART OF TEXAS FINSH WITH THE MOST TEAMS ON TOP.....
