Boycott Sugarland

by FP-VOICE » Mon Nov 23, 2009 1:15 pm

You live in the Houston area for god sake, Why would you leave anything of value in your car? You are asking for it to be broken into so whos falt is it? If you know that there is a problem put the money you need and your drivers licens in your pocket and leave the purse at home. Why would any man leave his wallet in the console. Get real people, we live in a day that people would rather steel from someone that works hard rather than to find a job and earn their oun money it is easy that way. Don't boycott the team that is trying to raise money to get their girls to nationals thats not fair to the girls. Lets just be smarter than they are and not leave anything for them to steel.

Living in Houston Sugarland or where ever 5 or 6 cars in one day is more then just its a bad area don't leave your stuff in your car. Plus its my stuff in my car and I shold not be the one hidding my stuff out of fear. Its like your house getting broken in to because you left the front door unlocked, and now its your fault because of that, NO.

Its not like its every once in a while but every time I 've played there. Its not like the fields are in the middle of some gang turf war in south central Los Angles, its frigging Sugarland. And untill The City, the police, who ever is in charge of Imperial park, or the TD do something I will advise both of my DD's teams not to play there and advise everyone else to do the same.

Patty, can we get a HBDA for Daniel please.
What do you expect from a guy born in 1975.
What you get by achieving your goals is not as important as what you become by achieving your goals.

Just don't lock your doors. It only keeps out the honest people anyway.

Do like I do, park in the grass and tie your Rottweiler up to your vehicle with enough rope to reach all sides of your vehicle. This has kept our vehicles free of vandalism. On a serious note with all the teams that register for the tournaments in Sugarland the host teams are making plenty enough money to hire security gaurds. I'm pretty sure with a full tournament and all fields being used the host teams in Sugarland are pulling down close to 10,000 a tournament. Just a guess but I'm pretty close if my math is correct. Nice facility but you are going to start losing teams if you don't get the vandalism problem fixed. ;)

I'm under the impression that these 2 comments are from the same guy with multiple names. 8-)

He doesn't need a DA he needs a "spell check option"

I know a Lt. over at Sugarland with some ties to softball. Ill let him know you are boycotting all SGSL tournaments until he can keep the criminals out of his city.

Pearland had a problem at one time and could again down the road. Pearlands finest put the clamps down as they would do again if the problem resurfaced. This doesn't sound like a random
break in into vehicles.

The way I see it we have 3 options:
1. Continue to play there and take precautions.
2. City and/or TD have security on site. (Sounds like this should happen)
3. Don't play there!

Options 1 & 2 is the best choices and will need to be done or the group responsible will continue to break into cars until people stop going all together. This would be sad because the facility is one of the better ones around. If the city, league and A ball teams value the funds raised at these tournaments, then they should have no problem in being proactive with this issue.

If the problem is as bad as what is said and nothing is done, then the teams running the tournaments can only blame themselves when the well runs dry.

SL see you in Dec.

Good luck!

While you're at it Rebs, why don't you see if his crew can umpire too. They can't be any worse than what is out there. :D

Zig, come on it is not HBDA. It is HDA. Daniel only gets an HI, heybucket idiot. Sugarland is a great place to play. Besides, there are a lot of hot dads there. Zig, you do not seem so bad after all. Are you married?
