You're right in that the 98 D-Bat has a lot of promise, but Glory 97 is mostly 7th graders and has been placing in 14U and 16U A and Open tournaments. In about a year, the 98's might be able to hang with them, but not right now. The 7th graders on the Glory give high school players fits.

The talk about 97Glory is completely stupid and asinine. This is not about Glory so don't make it about them because they are irrelevent as far as this is concerned.

The two players looking are a pitcher and catcher. Both 97s. How is the pitching and catching on both teams?

How about you just call Dbat and set up a practice yourself instead of getting 6 different opinion on how good or bad they are compared to Glory 97.

The catcher may be good but not as good as yours or your catcher could have no shot. No one really knows.

It almost sounds like you know the catcher and pitcher and want to hear people give them praise.

Some guy came on here and asked the question. I like you live, but just because someone else's opinion differs from yours doesn't make is asinine. If clock66 had asked how they compare to 97 Fusion would it have been so stupid? Personally, I think it's a valid question. I don't have a problem with someone using 97 Glory as a standard for who is a good 12U team in DFW. Who is better?

Keith has a fantastic group of girls with loads of potential. You're living in a fantasy though if you think they could hang with 97 Glory. As for Tolan, I believe they truly are a rec team that has just come up. I don't know them at all, so I'm not sure if they are hard workers or what but the two teams are night and day.

Both of these kids are looking and thier current team just broke up. They have identified D-Bat as an organization that they are interested in. However I think they want to identify teams that thier DDs can make and help. Is Allen all 98s? Are they committed to that or open to all 12U eligible players? I dont think they are interested in playing for a rec team. Better than that. The pitcher is pretty good, throws in mid to high 40s and has a good bat. The catcher is very good defensively with an average/good bat. My original question to the bucket is how good is the current pitching and catching on these two teams? The parents asked me so I am asking you? Obviously ai recommened to them that they contact the coaces and go to the organizational try outs. Just looking for the extra little information they are interested in.

My advice would be to take them to the tryouts tomorrow and see if it's a good fit. I know you said the parents want to know first, but if they are interested in them, it shouldn't matter what they have currently. Allen is not all 98s but I don't know what their objective is in finding players and what age group etc. I'm not going to comment directly on individual players but keep in mind that in order to compete at the younger levels, good pitching/catching goes a very long way. They are definitely competitive, so that should tell you something.
