Come-on USFA does that even quailify as a real tournament? Who was in those tournaments?[/quote]

It does to the 600 plus teams that will travel to USFA Nationals.

This team seems to play almost every weekend so they were probably looking for tournaments.

local and mostly rec teams or b teams trying to win somewhere ANYWHERE!
They dont count and no one decent plays there.

Glory Gray is playing almost every weekend trying to work those X-flannigan girls into something they are not. If you play 4 times a month you are likely to place somewhere. They can dominate but they have some serious weaknesses too.

(6 Diamonds are not 96 girls. I have seen them and the only 96 girls are in the dug out, SS, 2 nd or out field. The rest are 95's. Its hard to make a judgement when they filled their replacements with older girls. They should do well by getting older players.

Also, 95 Texas Elite plays that USFA. Always avoiding the competition. like this weekend I saw they went to Norman oklahoma and beat out the THUMPERS! a (Rec) B team totake 2nd place and the rest of the teams were just the same....rec, new or B. This team is a joke and I cant beleive they compared them to Glory 95 on anyday. I cant wait till southlake! Unless elite drops like they usually do when they might have to face the competition!

My daughter plays for the 96 Diamonds, so I would like to help with some of your questions/comments. First, the Diamonds are a PURE 96 team; we have no 95's. We lost one pitcher from Nationals to the East Texas Longhorns; however, there are still two remaining pitchers from that team. The infield is the same; maybe not the day some of you are watching, but the core group from Nationals is still there. We are having a bit of a hard time adjusting, but I wouldn't count us out just yet. Thanks.

I did not see any need for much adjustment. they really look great for this early in the season. I might have seen a day with a fill in. but I was told a few of the new girls were 95s. That depth and what you had going on last season, I thought you had a pretty good start on a run at nations. Even without any 95s, the girls look good and should make a good showing as they get more used to the move up.

I think they are a better (deeper and fewer weaknesses)than the Glory Gray. As the season progresses I think 96 Diamonds have a better chance of holding out a longer run at nationals.

Good Luck to you. I watch more 14u now but still like to keep up with the teams saw last year in the 12 u.

Ok, so I am moving this post to where it belongs since it comcerns 12U..................

Congratulations to the Fusion,Glory Elliott and the Travelers for finally winning a tournament in their own backyard. I thought we might have to send some teams from South and Central to keep the trophies in Texas.Down here we were getting tired of out of state teams winning, Lawton Sooners and Arkansas Livewires. Why is so many 95 teams placining in your tournaments. Is it a weak 14 under area?

Why don't you bring your team up here to see how "weak" we are.. never mind.... wait until the HOF qualifier.

The only 95's that are placing are 95 Travelers and 95 Glory; they are both strong and when your south Texas teams meet them then they will amazed as well.

Totally agree play4fun.See I told you we agreed on alot of your posts.

Dude!!!! The 95 Travelers......couldn't beat Central Texas Best, Blaze......let alone any other quality 14u teams in Central/South Texas. They weren't ready or couldn't hang. How many games did they win at the Bombers Tournament???

Glory is good.....your right on there......they've been the standard.....unless I see someone else knock them off.....they're still the champs.....but people need to slow down on this Travelers team.......go play South Texas Sting....I bet they'd whoop some Traveler too.

Dude!! People might disagree with you. Travelers sure seem to be catching up with Glory in the 12U poll and they have definatley passed the central and south Texas teams.

HOF qualifier is coming soon.Glory and the Travelers are Great. North Texas Rules in 12U!!

By the way, I haven't seen anyone on here putting down South/Central Texas until you opened up your mouth.

LOOK AT THE BOMBERS RESULTS.......ENOUGH SAID about the Travelers. Maybe they'll be better down the road.......but that weekend they were average.......and don't deserve to be compared to the Elite teams in TEXAS!!!!

North Texas wants to Brag about themselves, thats fine.....you have the Glory.....they are #1, but after that....it is up for grabs. I'd take Spring Sting over Travelers TODAY. Seen them both play........HAVE YOU!!!!

To Traveler Fans......not bashing you guys.....just think y'all are just like everyone else.......behind the Champs Glory......just because y'all are up in the "North" doesn't make y'all the next best thing.

Here ya go. Pick the weekend, go play the Travelers.

Continued.................

According to research, Spring Sting has not played a tournament this year, and the HOF may be their first tourn. to show their stuff. Good Luck to them!! From what it looks like, the Bomber Tourn. was the first for 95 TT and maybe they just had not shaken off the rust quite yet, I sure will be reserving the HOF to watch some softball to see who wins bragging rights. Until then, I would slow down on the knocking of the TT. I watched them play against some great 94 teams and they did well.

Man I can't wait until HOF all this trash talking about south tx teams being so good. I hope you guys get your popcorn ready for some real good softball because it coming just a matter of time. Then the young ladies will decide it on the field and us old dudes can hash up on here.

All of this was on another post and it just seemed right to move it over here!!!!

I did my research and it looks like Spring Sting has been playing 14U NAFA and USFA. They have played teams like SK Tazers.

HOF is going to be great.

You must be looking in south texas. There are even teams that do not place in 12u ever are placing in 14u b...

95 Texas Travelers... and I don't know what your seeing or looking at but they have not only placed but placed well in 14u open and A
Spring Blast Open 14U placed 5th out of 33
Keller 6 Inning Round Robin Open 14U 2nd out of 15
Southlake Spring Fever Classic A 14U 3rd out of 26

The bombers tourney did not have much competition. I can guarantee they used it to work players into new positions and give there pool pitchers a chance to play. look after the Bombers... They are placing in every tourney. Bombers turned out to be nothing and they used it to shake the dust off.

They would have seen more competition by plaing in Allen or Mckinney and mnot wasted the money to go down south...

I want to clerify before I get attacked by the SOUTH TEXAS REDNECKS!! (just kidding) I think the best team PLAY in North Texas not nec. from north texas! That is Different. They get competition from other states that just wont go any further south.

First of all I want to say I think the Travelers 95 are a great team and in the top 5 in Texas 12U.

I must also say I find had to belive they went to the Bomber tournament and decided the competition is so weak we will just play our pool pitcher and get some work in. It seems unlikely a team would travel 5 hours and spend the money to not try and win. Also the teams were listed several weeks in advance. If the competition was so week, why not just stay at home? It just don't sound right. I would buy the first tournament of the year and knock the rust off but not the "It dont matter cause its so weak" talk.

They are a 12U team who played 14U; I don't think the competition was that weak. No one is that sure of themselves.

I am sure that it was their first tournament and they were working out the kinks just like everyone else during the beginning of the season.
