Team Websites

What's on your mind?

by Sftbll4ever » Wed Apr 23, 2008 2:12 pm

Ok, I am looking to get away from E....well you know what I mean. I have seen a few and I just saw this one

http://www.leaguelineup.com/llprosecure.asp

Any information (good/bad) on this? How about other teams out there that use other sites that are inexpensive and easy to use?

The problem is reaching a critical mass, so that it becomes useful to search for a team site on Heybucket. If eCrap has 95% team participation and Heybucket only has, say, 15%, it will be difficult to get the rest to switch...b/c nobody wants to maintain two separate websites, and I think most teams want others (e.g., prospective recruits, other managers, etc.) to be able to find their website.

Home Teams Online Sports (http://www.htosports.com)

I have used this service to convert several E-Teams sites. Very user friendly for someone with a little web experience. If you can build a site on e-teams you can build one here.

If you use the metatags properly anyone can find you on google and other search engines: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=%2 ... te+gold%22

Here are a few samples:
Tulsa Elite Easton Gold

Texas Elite Sports Association

Oklahoma Fastpitch Recruits

I have used Leaguelineup the past 4 years. Easier to use then eteamz but does not have as many features.

Actually, I can get rid of the paid Ecrap and do the free which would guide the viewer to the new site.
