Count'em 'n weep!! wrote:All I have to say about the holiday camp is that the girls wearing the black mizuno shirts were very impresive hitting wise. It seemed like they all have great swings and hit the ball real hard for their age I have never seen girls swing the bat like that at that age. Very impressive. They were the talk amongst people who saw them hit. I don't know if they do have a hitting coach or someone who works with them but obviously whoever it is they're doing a great job. Kudos to team mizuno '98 u girls look great.

First of all…..our family attended the D-Bat Camp and considering the weather conditions…..and the cards that were dealt a BIG “high five” to the people from D-Bat…we will attend again..thanks to the College Coaches….you made our day!!

We drove all the way from South of Austin to attend this Camp for our daughter and some her teammates to be see the College Coaches…it was a long drive……our daughter was also with the girls in the Black Mizuno uniforms and I personally “resent” your comment that those particular girls were the only ones “singled out” for their “hitting ability” in that age group……my daughter played with one of the top and very successful organizations in Central Texas, and our daughter hits “every bit” as good as anyone we saw with the Black Mizuno uniforms on and she also received some of the “same comments” concerning her hitting from the College Coaches in attendance....it was not just your little world!!!

So I did a little digging………..JTF………. Count'em 'n weep!! ……..it’s this easy…if you go back on your posts you’ll see that you spend much more time defending yourself from being associated with the girls wearing the Black Mizuno uniforms than you do from anything else…..so here are the FACTS…either you want to get further up the Hitting Coaches butt so he will look at your daughter….or your daughter plays on his team already and you believe it will really help you…seen it before……...not that I care…..so you don’t have to deny your association anymore….although it must be embarrassing continuously denying it especially……….when the Coaching staff sees it!!!

Count'em 'n weep!!.............here’s some “VERY” good advise….you are probably turning more people “OFF” with your one sided comments than you are helping your Hitting Coach…….maybe now you can ask for a hitting “discount”……..who knows your ploy may have worked....in some warped way

As a matter of FACT ……..the most positive comments from the College Coaches about “driving the ball” and “pure form” that we "personally heard about" was the five girls wearing the D-Bat uniforms in the same age group….one hitting Coach made a point of asking “each one” of them their “names” after commenting “WOW”…my husband even commented that “if the other girls” from that same D-Bat team hit the ball with the same consistency inside and out “they would be tough to pitch against”

Then if you are going to state all of the FACTS…from the Camp……and the "chatter"…..when the pitchers started throwing from the same age group the Black Mizuno girls were in……one of the girls from the same D-BAT group started throwing “heat consistently” and hitting her spots, with all of her pitches……..everyone immediately turned their heads from the……”pop”, “pop”, “pop”……by far the best pitcher in that age group….three of the pitching Coaches converged to ask for her age……you have to be at least 14U…”who is your pitching Coach”…you probably had your blinders on........for that portion........and when the Coaches were praising the same group of D-Bat girls for their form when throwing and fielding the ball…......also it's funny you don’t see any of those parents putting their girls on a pedestal on public forms……during the Camp......did you?

Sorry, I did not hear any of the “comments” from the College Coaches about the girls in the Black Mizuno uniforms…..but I did hear “multiple comments” on the parents of the same girls………that they crowded the walkway and “would not move from in front of the cages to let other people see their own daughters hit in the cages” during the hitting sessions at the Camp…some of us drove a long way to see our daughters at all of the stations…..…also comments on how “cocky the parents were becoming…………….and that “it was starting to rub off on the girls”…there’s a difference between ‘cocky” and “confident”…………...sometimes that’s not a good thing at such a young age unless you can back it up

We have never played against the girls in Black Mizuno uniforms…..but from all the posts they like to put out on multiple public forms…….they defiantly have to be the top 12U “A” team in North Texas…..or at least talk like they are…..I’ll have to check the past tournaments they have played in and the teams in them….sounds like everyone in 12U “A” North Texas should give up before the Spring season begins....looking forward to seeing this "A" team in the Houston area

As for “Liz17”.......”Liz Goodman”…you seem like a nice and sincere person but…don't know him but “Onedownonetogo” hit the nail on the head……………."Liz" perhaps as a Coach you should pull the reigns back a bit on "certain parents" from your team that seem to see through blinders on HB.......it "may not" be all of the parents but it is obviously hurting the "entire group" of parents……and it may just help their hitting Coach out by praising some of the other girls in your area…”a little praise goes a long way”…….I would never want my daughter around any parent that has blinders on when it comes to their own group………..especially during "Camps" that we all pay our hard earned money for....to improve the play of our daughters that we all love…everyone is in attendence for the same reason………....what do you think the other teams in North Texas “read into” the comment from………………… Count'em 'n weep!!…….LOL

Liz……I can tell you are a very good person.....and I hope you can see this from another perspective..it’s a VERY, VERY good thing that the kids who love this game do not see the posts on HB or other public forms posted by your team or certain people associated with your team for all to see…I know my daughter would never be allowed to read posts at this age...especially ones that put girls her own age on “pedestals” for all to see…..?

Could you imagine any girl from the same age group as yours that has worked hard every day at hitting with a very talented Hitting Coaches in North Texas….....and believes that she is on the right track…..only to read that……….the only positive “Hitting” comments from the College Coaches during the recent Camp she attended were directed at the girls in the Black Mizuno uniforms……..LOL........there were probably thirty other girls attending this Camp in this situation.

Some Coaches would use a post like the one from.....Count'em 'n weep!!....to motivate their team on the field……..and perhaps they all should

You are right though the serious softball parents, coaches are the ones that read the posts on public forms and they will make the ultimate decision on who the Hitting Coach for their daughter will be…….we all can praise our individual Coaches……there is defiantly nothing wrong with that………for some reason there are those that feel the need to do it much more than others…………..must be an insecurity thing………this form of marketing can backfire on the Hitting Coach or any Coach real fast………perhaps when the Hitting Coach starts receives calls asking for private lessons far, far away from the rest of the his team….it will SINK in

It seems that certain people from your team love to open the doors………….to a lot of negative comments

so looking at just the facts like you said....nice cover up about driving from south Austin area.....
I made a comment similar about what my friend overheard about these girls, and it was a comment he overheard, nothing to do with the other young ladies there... I don't know what was said because I wasn't there, but if other compliments were made about the other girls in other teams that is great, it's great that you shared that(just don't pretend that you are not putting in a plug for your DD's D-Bat team...just the facts!!)

I took all comments on here as that, comments (just opinions that observers were making) either way it's just my opinion that matters anyway...
It's my opinion....and that's all that matters!!

Is it so hard to believe that someone can say something nice and sincere about someone other than your own daughter? Why?????? It's really dissaponting to realize how something that can b so positive gets smeared with ugly jealousy. I heard thru the grapevine that several of the coaches including the coach for the number one team in the nation were impressed with the girls I had mentioned and took back with them information about several of them. So there u go I guess I was not lying huh???

LOL…….Count'em 'n weep!!.......you should have started with…..“I have no affiliation with girls in the Black Muzuno uniforms” or their organization, that would have been a better way to let us know a little more about your character,…and what a wealth of information you have streamlined through your Blinders in such a short time and how sincere of a person you really are…..honestly….trust me.....we all would have honestly......NOT

Your second paragraph could have gone something like this…..”And my cousin Bill Clinton”……….to say this again: “did not have sexual relations with that woman”, Miss Lewinsky………you would have been much more “creditable” for everyone on HB

My bad…………..I didn’t realize anyone from the #1 National Champion Washington Huskies Softball Team was in attendance…..must have missed that station…..LOL

Count'em 'n weep!!.......……….You are a complete joke………..if your comment about a College Coach taking back information on several ELEVEN year old girls is correct….than that is fantastic…congratulations to those girls………..a lot can happen between 12U and College looks…….”just a thought”……..why not take the “entire team list” back with them as you stated… “I have never seen girls swing the bat like that at that age”. Very impressive!!…….I’m sure the Coaches felt the same as you and can’t wait to go after a National Title next season with them on the roster……………….was it the girls in the Black Mizuno “grapevine” Blinders....raw, raw, group that you heard this through?

Give it up… Count'em 'n weep!!.......no jealousy here…defiantly no need for any……you were the one that ignored "30 other attendees" in your arrogant one sided view…who were just as talented…for your own little agenda……and you still don’t see it with your Black Blinders on………….JTF

Liz,
You're girls work hard and Manny is a great guy who has helped the girls improve tremendously. I have watched it first hand. It was fun watching them play this year in our league and hopefully you and the team will return for the spring season. Dont get too upset with the comments. You know how it rolls on here. Stay the course, work hard and enjoy your kids.

"team" mizuno...you might want to talk to your parents about posting on heybucket. We all want our dd's to get credit for the countless hours of hardwork and $$ we put into supporting there abilities, but the amount of arrogant posts is starting to exceed constructive posts. Last time I checked vtd the 98 and 99 teams haven't beaten the best teams consistently enough to be tootin this horn.

My .02 don't draw so much attention off the field, instead make an impression on the field.

Agreed, I think some people get out of hand on here...but then again that is the nature of the beast! Besides when identities are unknown it is pretty difficult to control something like that especially when dealing with adults!

A few months ago there was a lot of "plugs" being written for a team, and everyone started on here started making the same comments about coaches needing to control postings, it turned out later that the one posting on here was a p-o'd dad because his DD had been cut and wanted to make the team look bad on here!! How do we know that isn't the case more often than not?? There's some pretty crazy people out there!

Just my .02 on the subject  I like that pbj!!
It's my opinion....and that's all that matters!!
