The tournament went really well...Plano HS and Tomball were playing in the championship game. Bryan and Tomball were playing in the champoinship JV bracket..A&M Con. won the consilation bracket.

The tournament was a big success with schools from all over representing their school well. A TON of talent was at Round Rock this weekend!..I also seen a few college coaches there..

The pitching I saw was hit and miss. Heard alot of girls complaining about the cold(with good reason). Pitchers saying they could not feel thier hands, lacing hurting cold hands, etc, etc, etc.

Their were some good teams there, but as cold as it was Saturday morning I don't know how much some folks were able to tell about their team.

We (Pflugerville Hendrickson) were missing 5 varsity starters b/c of illness and weather. I guess we will all see what we are made out of in about 1 month.

Good Luck Everyone.

I heard a little different...I spoke to a few out of town teams and they said the cold wasn't a factor..Now had it been windy? they would've pulled out!.. I stuck around the entire weekend (until the end), and there was alot of good solid pitching and hitting. Those teams from up North (Dallas area) looked really good. (not taking away from the Centex area OR down south teams)

In all it was another successful tournament on the NEW Round Rock fields...Hopefully they can get someone to host a few good tournaments in the spring...those fields are too nice to just sit there!!!!!!

Plano HS won the tournament, and their pitcher was great, but the other Plano/North Teams really didn't do much. Once again the Houston and San Antonio-area teams dominated.

I think the tournament turned out to be a great success. Well Organized, Great competition, Beautiful Complex, and Decent Weather. I thought the competition was pretty balanced where the last teams standing were from different areas and no clear domination by any area. Congrats to Tomball on winning the tourney, they definitely could hit the ball! From what I remember Tomball, Plano, Bellaire, Austin High, SA Johnson and one other were the last 6 teams standing.
