If a player is good enough to make the team she will...even if she has not been in the organization. Gold teams have to qualify to go to their nationals just like we do, so they are trying to put together strong teams. There will be girls that have been playing in the organization that might not make the Gold team if there are other girls better than her. Have seen it happen!

I agree...wouldn't put too much emphasis on the program or organization @ 14. I think 1st year 14 should focus on development. I would imagine some of these teams (or atleast some of these girls) will jump to 16U after this year anyway. BTW, the hawks are not on the list, nor should they be @ this point.I only commented on a tryout. I witnessed plenty of other tryouts that were equal in talent. Players only make up a part of the equation. Coaches play a huge part, and pitching...well no need to elaborate there. Good list Zig...well maybe except for the Stealth...Kaos yes, Impact yes, Peppers yes...all well coached teams IMO

Pretty early to tell who is going to do what, but if you follow the pitchers, follow the catchers, and follow the shortstops you'll have a pretty good idea if which teams will do well. Coaching then makes the difference in bringing the best potential out of the players. Impact 95 and Sudden Impact are both good teams with good coaches. Sting Blue is only as strong as the number of 2nd yr players that show up to play during HS, and they may not shine until June. Kaos and TPS are tough too, isn't this what makes the whole thing great? The rest are just unknowns waiting to be proven, but teams like the Phantomz and Outlaws have great pitching so it will be a dog fight!

ImpactCoach. Dan?? Chris?? read my mind. Which is sad and scary, but thats a whole other story. Impact 95 IS one of the better 14u teams and they are predominately 2nd year. The bucket klan needs to look further than the end of there nose for teams that WILL compete.

Zig thats a little tidbit of info for ya. 8-) 8-)

Thanks Frito. My first post on this thread was am I missing anyone and I was. 95 SK Impact is on my top 5.
