Pearland should be tuff this year again

Vista Ridge could make another run this year. Very strong team with girls who have either signed or commited to Univ. of Texas, UT San Antonio, Texas State, and Texas Tech. Good pitcher but not a lot of depth there. Will be interesting to see what kind of coaching decisions will be made during the heat of close games.

Starting with 2A:

2A: Brock repeats (lost two seniors but pitcher/catcher combo returns)

3A Needville or Spring Hill

4A Canyon or Angleton

5A Tomball or Coppell (Coppell has underachieved for past three years, athletic enough to overcome coaching this year)

2A: Brock -------Hear Gunner has ace pitcher coming this season but that may not be enough for them this season.

5A Coppell ---------this could be their season if they stop listening to the HS Coach so much & just play.

Vista Ridge - Lots of returning players to a good team last year. SS may be the best in the state. Very talented group that plays very well together. Coach does a good job of getting them ready to play.

A&M Consolidated - Lost pitcher to parent transfer but will still be a threat. These girls can hit and the pitcher that is still there is not bad at all.

Tomball - They better do something this year. They lose their pitcher next year. Some good young talent at 3b and C as well.

Pearland - Just reloading from a run into the playoffs last year.

The Woodlands - Lots of young talent on this team. One of the best 2012 pitcher/catcher combos in the state. Pitcher has verbal with LSU. Gold level talent all over the field, but young.

Austin High School - Came together pretty well last year and good pre-season results this year.

Smithson Valley - Always seem to have players coming in there.

Katy - Another of the top 2012 pitchers there. SS graduating is going to hurt. (Now playing 3b for Candrea at Arizona)

9-4A - McKinney High is the team to beat, lost none. Wakeland also good, losing only one.

Actually, Katy will have two top level 2012 pitchers. One already has multiple D1 offers. (Probably not the one that you have seen, because she started at 3B last year).

Katy has a very talented team with Gold players all over the field as well.
