Best 12U Texas teams - updated list 5-26-08

Y'all need to CHILL with the Travelers being #1 or #2.....that's all I'm saying. Specially with other 95 teams putting up better springs than them. Just because they're from the North doesn't make them what y'all are making them out to be. Y'all are putting the pressure on the kids......not me. Look what y'all did to the BB team......they haven't lived up to the fame y'all gave them too.

Just remember there are more quality teams out there besides Travelers,Glory, and North Texas.

YplayA I agree it's hard to figure out who the top teams are without watching them at least every other weekend. I haven't seen any of the south Texas / Houston or even west Texas teams play we stay up north most of the time. I don't know who said the Travelers were 2nd in the state but they will have to prove it over the spring / summer season can't say yea or nea until they beat some of the top 12U teams out there. Im going to put this subject to rest and see what happens over the next month. Keep it coming though it still fun

Not really sure how the rest of Texas 12U will match up with 95 Glory and 95 Travelers. I have seen these two teams play numerous times. While both of them are great teams I would give a small edge to the 95 Glory team. Team speed and the fact that most of these girls have some big game experience is my reasoning.

I do believe it will be one of the most exciting games of the year at any level. And as someone said earlier the team that will win will be the one who forces the other to make a mistake. Possible to see this one in ITB.

Good luck to both teams. I hope I am in the ballpark when the showdown takes place.

Any other team in the state that wants to beat these two better bring it, or you will leave disappointed.

Well, I guess it meant something to you. Sorry if the outcome of this tournament hurt your feelings. Frankly, I'm not sure how summarizing scores constitutes putting a team down or somehow interferes with the girls. I agree that you are drifting.

But, thanks for making my point, although I thought it would have been obvious. There are ongoing references to the Bombers tournament as if it were the defining moment in softball. It was simply one weekend of play. As was this tournament. There is still a long way to go.

I totally agree.

When the HOF qualifying tournament starts we will see who is the best in Texas and it won't be the Travelers or Glory.They will not be one of the teams that qualify for the HOF tournament in OK.

We difinitely know that dallas fungo is a Travelers parent and someonecares is a Glory parent.

Actually,

I'm not a Glory parent at all but a grandparent of a Batbusters team. I have been around softball for a long time and I do not understand the reason that everyone keeps trying to start a battle between Glory and the Travelers. I have watched both of these teams and they are both great.

In my above post, I do not see the reason that you brought up a tournament that was played almost two months ago. I was plainly stating that all these teams have played each other since then and there have been different outcomes. In otherwords, all these teams are great and we should respect each other on and off the field.

I still do not think you all get it. Both these teams are friends. Most of the girls get along great and some of them go to school together and text each other daily and support one another. Some of the coaches respect and get along with each other great. A few of the parents are friends and pull for both teams when not playing each other. Both teams are great 12-U teams and represent TEXAS proud. The Travelers have a great team and inch closer and closer every tournamnet. The Texas Glory are the champs and should be until knocked off consistantly. Several other teams in Texas have great ball clubs as well and can beat either of the teams from time to time at any given tournament, remember these are 12 and 13 year old girls, but I would take both of these teams to win any series against any team. Morth, South, East or West.

I understand what the above post is saying but first let me say that these are two great teams and everyone needs to let them be just that. Jealously shows through when you put each other down.

You can't rank a team by who placed higher than who during a particular tournament because those two teams may not have played each other during that tournament. Someone else may have beaten them out that placed even higher.

In order to rank the teams you need to see how they are doing against each other. In other words, what are their records against a particular team and not wether or not they placed higher than another team.

The '95 teams (North,Central, and South... don't know about west) are playing older more experienced players and will be challenged harder so good luck to all and let's get ready for the HOF.
