The Count Down ... has ended.

What's on your mind?

by DonnieS » Mon Apr 28, 2008 8:26 am

Appreciate the warning !

31 days left. Down to softball left. Bad thing about individual sports like track is on a day when you arent at your best, your teammates cant 'dig down deep' to help. In our sport, a kid is not at her best, the other 8 step up and cover for that kid. DD took 3rd and 5th in 100m hurdles and 300 m hurdles, she started off the day not feeling at her best, when the events were over, she was in tears, but a trip to DQ and a new plan for how to train better for next year, and she was all smiles, maybe dirty stinky nasty ugly BF had something to do with it too.

We've had 4 rained out already. This weekend we got to the field and it was muck. They played 2 pool games and it was finally starting to dry some. Then for our first pool game we were visitors. Got to a count of 2 and 1 on the cleanup batter and the bottom fell out and it flooded. The tournament was over. Oh well, there's always next weekend.

Donnie:

273 games played in the sunshine at the Force Classic. Should of been there, even a few HS coaches showed up.

Would have loved too. This work stuff sure gets in the way of softball, even notice that ?

Damn Donnie after seeing your gar avatar I want one for myself. You think I'd be better with a South Georgia wild pig or a large Striped Bass? Mark

Now you're making me hungry. Had a wild hog-burger earlier - I make up about 20 at a time, cook them over the bbq pit over mesquite over the weekend, then eat them through the week. Used to last longer, but I left one laying around and dw took a bite, so now I go through them a lot quicker. They are actually wild hog mixed with venison, a few spices, onions, just like grandma used to make.

LOL! Donnie, if you are ever in GA we HAVE to meet! Or if we perform where we think we can, maybe we'll see you in your neck of the woods. I think we would hit it off greatly! Got a venison rump roast and bass filets waiting on you dude! LOL Mark

So where will you peeps be when the count down is over?

If it follows the previous years, I'll most likely be working the 18Gs for the Grapettes June Classic!

Usually I work about 16-17 games in 3 days and it is a marathon start to the season.

See you on the diamond!

Probably preparing for the 18u HOF qualifier - then getting the kids ready for a busy summer of tournaments that will be getting the girls ready for the fall showcases.
