Anderson Bat Q & A

What's on your mind?

by Blades356mm » Sat Jan 30, 2010 8:10 am

Tumble,

That what I meant, your not dense. She can swing the 31/21 tech, but has NO chance with the 32/22. Thanks for the heads up...

I'll talk to Kyle at Frye's and grab the first 31/21 and let you know what she thinks of it. Just a warning, dd loves her tech and wife loves the looks so its going to be an up hill sell with both.

Tumblebug;

Just got a used 2008 RT for DD. The laminate at the junction of the sleeve and the rest of the bat is starting to flake away. Is this bat still legal for use?

I can't say 100% if an umpire will throw it out because it's flaking; I've seen weirder things happen and I'm not sure I understand the leeway an individual umpire actually has regarding this sort of thing.

I can tell you that it does not present a difference in the structural integrity or overall performance of the bat as it would for a composite bat.

So I would say, from my point of view, that it is still legal but judging from your screen name you probably know better than I if it is in danger of being tossed.

Send me a PM with pictures, may be able to help.

Okay folks, I've gotten about ten PMs about deliveries to your local dealers. some of them from dealers that haven't even placed an order. I don't do order shipment scheduling, I'm just the lowly CEO. I happened to know the answer to the first one because it was part of a discussion I overheard.

Direct your shipment scheduling questions here: http://www.andersonbat.com/customer_service.asp

Be sure to include your whole name, the whole dealer name and the city and state they are in.

or ask your local dealer directly. Thanks for understanding

Is any of your FP bat product line going away? Is the Nanotek going to replace any of the bats you presently offer?

I have a daughter that swings the RT pretty well and loves it. Is there a performance difference between the RT and NT, and should I purchase the NT the next time instead of the RT?

Brother, you just asked a mouthful.

I have to tell you that my goal with the NanoTek was to provide more options. Let me start with saying that the NanoTek tested identically with the RockeTech in machine testing, it tested higher in live field testing. Both tests are under controlled conditions and only well struck balls are recorded.

In subjective testing all hits are recorded and there is a miss-hit to well-hit ratio recorded. In specific groups the NTFP was not better, especially the BIG hitters. The NT subjectively out-performed the RT in the middle and smaller hitters. The smaller hitters saw a much higher perceived performance. What that means is they were able to consistently handle the NT better than the RT.

Now, what that means to me is that the NT has a higher possible performance but you are going to have to patiently work through the adjustment period. There is no FP bat on the planet that has a better upside in performance than the NTFP and yet the players that have a swing well suited for and end-loaded bat will still hit the RT better. In late summer we will introduce an endloaded NT too. Then all bets are off.

The good news is that the NTFP performs like that without ant break-in and out-performs the composites right out of the wrapper.

The man in the middle is the TechZilla. The TZ is similar in feel to the NT but doesn't have the upside in performance. It has it's own feel and it's own following because of that but the price point is easier to swallow.

As of now we have no plans to drop any FP models. The RT has a huge following. The TZ is well placed and has its own following. We are happy to serve those markets as long as there is a demand.

Look for the new KFP-12 later this year for the player that needs a light bat to compete.

The NanoTeck has been Bucket tested and it is a great bat. We tested a 33" -10. The bat feels extremely balanced and has a lot of pop. We let a couple teams test the NanoTeck and all the girls all liked it. Everything Anderson said about this bat is true and then some. PM AGameGal for a special heybucket price...
