Has anyone heard of Manny Messa?

I know Manny and have watched his students during lessons as well as in games. Very good teacher and a good coach. I have no doubt he would help most players a great deal.

Did you have a conversation with the kid first to see if she was actually doing what Manny is teaching? I haven't had a kid make a perfect swing yet, but coaches tend to think everything in a kids swing is by design...and if a kid is doing it wrong, the instructor must be teaching it wrong.

Ask the kid, she should be able to communicate why she is doing something in the swing.

I think it goes a long way with the kids to include them in these conversations.

Mark that might actually make sense. Are instructors supposed to do that? Actually teach students to communicate what they learn to their coaches from their private instructors. :)

DD is 16 years old and has Manny for a hitting coach. DD isn't easily impressed and she wasn't real excited about a new hitting coach, but it only took one lesson. She now looks forward to her weekly lesson and her improvement at the plate is evident. She likes Manny and buys what he is teaching.
I've got nothing to do with Mizuno or D-Bat.
