Maybe someone from a centralized location should host a "friendly" and invite the teams that have been mentioned on this site to participate. Maybe the weekend prior to the HoF Qualifier.

Think the teams would show up? Just curious......

Man!!! I took it as long as I could. I just had to sign up and respond to Idiots like this. I have one question. How long do we have to listen to this Glory team claim that they are the "CHAMPS" ? That was two years ago! A lot of water has past under the bridge since then. I hate to tell you , but that was 10-under. My daughter won a blue ribbon on track and field day when she was in kindergarten, but I do not still go around saying that she still the wheel barrow race champ. I would almost bet that from what I have heard about that coach that over half those girls are not even still on that team anymore. I am originally from that area and still go back often and from time to time get to catch a game or two when I'm up that way. I think it is pretty arrogate to make assumtions like you have in your last couple post. So if you can do it, then I can do it. When I was up there 4 weeks ago I watched a couple games. I think there are two players on that team that if you take them off, then your back to a "B" team with "B" coaches. Whatcha think about that comment Glory Mom ?? By the way, I think ya'll come down here ( Houston area ) for your pitchers dont you?? Correct or not??

Man!!! What has 95 Texas Glory done wrong to you??? Dude, if you look back at all the posts, I don't think Glory Mom is from 95 Texas Glory but an older Glory team. You have went beyond saying negative things about teams and started calling out players. That is wrong. We have played against them several times and they are all a great group of talented players. My daughters knows several of them personally, specifically the twins, and they do not bad mouth anyone.

Everyone is saying some pretty harsh things about the Travelers and Glory out of jealousy for these two teams. Just let these teams play ball and respect their players as well as every other teams players. Besides, after everything that has been said on this board, you might want to be careful that your team is not brought up. How would you like it if people starting saying things about your team or you daughter?

Well, looks like i ruffled some feathers or shall i say wings on Mr. StingDaddy. I sure didn't mean too. BUT since you brought it up, a lot of this board is opinion. Mine and/or yours. However i can't answer some of your questions, but i will try. My daughter is not on the glory team in question. She is a little older, but we have played them several times. No love lost between Glory teams either. They are a very strong and good team for that age group. They do seem to have a couple stronger players, but it is that way on most teams or as far as i can tell. I have no ideal how many girls are still on the team that won nationals, i would bet more then half though. As far as the year they won nationals, i was told they had a pitcher from Mississippi back then. They do or did have a pitcher from the Houston area i think, but was told they have a good one from Oklahoma now. I'm sure you do have a very good team, but as far as how do i like your comments, i'll be a little arrogate as you call it and say " You ain't got a chance, you better stay down south and play where it is safe"

StingDaddy, that is the dumbest shit I ever read on HB. Your DD must not have been selected for this team when you lived in the area. This is a great group of young ladies that can compete with anybody you put them on the field with.

Why are you so concerned about Glory? They are a very talented team and so what if they don't have every player back from the 10 under championship. They are the top team until someone beats them in their own age division. You need to worry about what happens to your own team and stopped talking trash about other teams.

Message from the Spring Sting Camp:

I have recently been made aware of this website. I have read the postings and it appears to be just another softball forum that allows people to voice their opinions on different subjects. While I accept the fact that most people want to give their opinions without revealing their identity, I don't really approve of this kind of forum that allows people the opportunity to anonymously attack other teams, coaches, parents, and/or players. I, as well as the rest of my coaches, try and teach our young players the value of respect. Our motto to our young player and families is to respect everyone, but fear no one. Bad mouthing or verbally attacking our opponents is not the message we preach.

This brings me to the comments made by this "Stingdaddy". I want to state for the record that we do not condone this kind of behavior or comments, and I am being assured that it did not come from any parent on my team. If I find out different, then rest assured that the appropriate action will be taken. We have worked hard to create a good name for ourselves in the softball community. It's my opinion that we have a solid group of families and a great group of talented young players who have worked extremely hard to get where they are, and I would like to think that their attitude both on and off the field has reflected well on our team. With our playing schedule, I find it hard to believe that one of my parents has traveled up north and/or even watched any games in or around the Dallas / Ft. Worth area. So this leads me to my opinion that this "Stingdaddy" person is either someone from another Sting team or someone who is intentionally trying to drag our team's name in the dirt. Either way, we are letting our parents know to avoid such confrontations and will continue to do so.

On another note, we are excited about traveling up to Ft. Worth at the end of the month for the HoF Qualifier and look forward to the opportunity to play and watch some great competition. We have had the good fortune to play the Round Rock Blaze at the Ronald McDonald Tournament last fall, and it was two great games played by both teams. It was a great experience for my team and we look forward to seeing them again on the softball field. As for the '95 Texas Glory, Texas Travelers, and the other quality teams mentioned on this site, I wish them the best and respect what they have accomplished. Obviously, these teams are doing something right or they wouldn't be putting a quality team on the field year in and year out.

Good luck to everyone and see you all in Ft. Worth.

Springsting don't let one sour persons opinion ruin a good forum that you could use, this could be anybody just trying to start stuff. Most of the post are positive and in good humor I agree with your statement that no team should bad mouth another it is 12-13 year olds were talking about right. But some people just can't help but talk trash since nobody knows who they are, the teams their talking about on this post are all good teams as Im sure your team is included in the top 5-10 12U teams in Texas. Will look foward to seeing your team at the HOF have always enjoyed watching good teams play each other.
