by Joe » Wed Mar 03, 2010 10:32 pm

Checking high school scores in DFW... 10, 12, 20 runs per game.

Denny, Shortridge, Barnhill back in the day? ...where have all the pitchers gone?

Joe you choose to pick the 3 biggest names out of DFW in the last 10 years? All of them with a great amount of success due to their hard work. Mostly at the HS level. Not as much success in college. You left one out. I think Ms Osterman might want to be included in that conversation. As well as many other lesser known but good pitchers.

Those kinds of scores have always been around in HS Softball. A lot of it has to do with the district your HS is in and what teams are in that district. It is also very dependent on what select organization feeds into these various HS programs. Many have none. Others have several. Keller,Grapevine,Plano and all of their schools. Mckinney, Rockwall, Frisco, Allen, Flower Mound, Flower Mound Marcus,Coppel, Mansfield, and others have numerous select organizations feeding their HS programs.

I dont think its as much about the pitching as the support system behind the program.
